Neighbourhood highlights

Our Hostel is located in the “Neustadt” - the colorful multicultural district. This is where art and craft meets punk and hippie culture. Explore the small backyards with their studios and celebrate all night long in the district with Germany's highest density of bars and pubs.

But not only new things can be found in the “Neustadt”. There are also traditional things to see. Like the “Pfund's Dairy” on Bautznerstraße, which is awarded as the most beautiful dairy shop in the world. It still has his hand-painted flagging from Villeroy and Boch.

It is not even 100 meters to the Artpassage. Their imaginatively decorated courtyards invite you to drink coffee and take pics. Furthermore, along the Königsbrückerstraße you can relive the childhood of Erich Kastner. The House of his birth vis-a-vis the “Schauburg” to the villa of his uncle, which is now the Museum Erich Kaestner.

The historic city center is not far away. After a nice walk of 20 to 30 minutes (about 15 minutes by tram), you are in historic baroque part of Dresden. Explore the Royal Palace, the Zwinger, the Brühl Terrace, the Semper Opera and of course the world famous Church for our Lady in Dresden.

Anyone who interested in art, there are various exhibitions inside this buildings. Choices range in the painting of the old masters to the contemporary art. There is also a sculpture section, the armory, the Turkish Chamber, the porcelain collection or the new and the historic Green Vault.
