“Rod's place was perfect for a weekend away from the city. Warm and cosy, we were more relaxed than we've been for a LONG time. The kitchen was fully equipped and the host provided tea, coffee and fresh milk. A lazy wake up to birds chirping and wander round to visit the baby calves rounded out our stay. We recommend visiting the Mercer cheese shop (only 7km away!) on the Saturday as it is closed on Sundays.”
The Abbi House is an ex-industrial building conversion, located in a quiet and cozy rural setting.
“If you are thinking of staying - do! It’s a beautiful home with such lovely touches that make you feel very welcome, special and lucky to stay. The butter hand tied, homemade jams, some lovely teddies to make it homely, the gorgeous decor, and cottage feel. I cannot praise it enough. Thank you.”

“It a picturesque location, there is a small village nearby with some food outlets. There is also a hotel nearby that do good meals for a reasonable cost. The studio is clean and nicely presented and the shower has good water pressure. the hosts are nice people and they were helpful with tips on what was available nearby. there were breakfast items provided and I made use of a nice sunny spot and seating outside of my studio to have a leisurely breakfast. I asked if I could help to feed the alpaca's and I enjoyed doing that very much. I was very happy with my stay here and would be happy stay again.”
