Waterfront vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

Casa Flora was very convenient for all the restaurants and attractions on Ortigia. The apartment was clean and comfortable with some stylish touches. Chiara and Gabriele were very responsive to a couple of requests.

Very good apartment perfectly located close to everything (Ortigia 10mn walk, restaurant, convenience store and a great glacier). Parking is a real plus. Veronica is extremely responsive and available. We had a great time in Avignon.

Salvatore's flat is gorgeous! The views from both balconies looks right onto the Fountain of Arethusa where everyone comes for photos and sunset. It's an extremely busy area but with the windows shut at night I could manage sleep by midnight. Worth it. Everything in Otogio is a short walk. The flat has everything you need, the bed was comfortable and Salvatore was a great host, giving great restaurant recommendations. note: if arriving at the Siracusa bus station, recommend taking the small red SAIS bus #106 to Archemides piazza and walking from there to the apartment.

We can't say enough good things about Stefano's place! It is in a completely walkable area -- both to Ortigia as well as the Archaeological Park, and of course, many restaurants and shops. The apartment is lovely and spacious and spotless -- right by the ocean with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. Stefano is very responsive and a great host. He even left us a bottle of wine (and water and coffee)! Absolutely perfect stay in a terrific city. Many thanks, Stefano!!

Giuseppe and his son was very friendly and helpful. They are indeed great hosts! They gave as instructions for the public transport and even prepared everything for the coffee and breakfast! Apartment is clean and very beautiful with the sense of the sea and a song From the birds! We felt really welcomed and we enjoyed our stay! I recommend this host from the heart 💜

The apartment is in an excellent location, near to a bustling market and restaurants. We visited with an 11 and 14 year old. The apartment had plenty of space and the WiFi is good. We enjoyed a glass of vino on the beautiful balcony after a busy day, the kids enjoyed their down time in the apartment whilst we did this 😍 Siracusa Cathedral and the marina are within a 10 minute walk. We would recommend Schiticchio Pizzeria for the most amazing pizza and Mokrito for a fish platter. Parking is really easy. We parked in the car park opposite the apartment. They charge €15 per day. One of the highlights for us was having the market right outside the apartment, selling fresh fruit, vegetables and fish! The kids really enjoyed making fresh orange juice (bought from the market) in the morning with the manual juicer in the apartment. What a memorable break 😍

We had a great stay in Siracusa. The location is fabulous, and we loved drinking our morning coffee on the rooftop deck. Some of the local stray cats got a little frisky at night — you may want to pack ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Also, be aware that you can't drive to the apartment because of traffic restrictions, but luckily we pack light so it was fine to walk from the nearby parking lot. Would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay here! The house was modern, fresh, sunny, airy and bright. We had a delicious breakfast every day on the terrace in the garden! The hosts were very friendly, enthusiastic and quick to respond. We got good tips for the surroundings and useful equipment for the beach (such as umbrellas). The arrival and departure time was also flexible, which was very nice. A car is necessary to discover the area and to be able to do good shopping. We could park the car in front of the house, this was ideal. In other words, highly recommended to stay here!

We had a great stay at Valentina's place in Plemmirio. Beautiful surroundings and a very cosy home with a spacious terrace in the sun. Valentina was very responsive and helpful!

Alessandro and Valentina are wonderful hosts. We arrived with our little daughter Paula (1< year) and Alessandro provided us with everything we needed. We felt like at home and Paula slept great. A crib with height-adjustable sides, so you have a family bed, a mei maker, blender, toys, extra blankets for crawling - thank you very much for that! The apartment on the ground floor is located in a fantastic garden, you can see directly to the sea. We felt very comfortable!

Beautiful place that is wonderfully decorated. Excellent location and close to many sites in Siracusa. Really enjoyed it.

A great find for our 3 night stay in Syracuse over the Easter weekend. Easy to walk to and from the train station and around the city. In an interesting area of Ortigia, in the back lanes off a lovely arty street with cool galleries and hipster bars. Spotlessly clean town house with cool rooftop terrace. Roof top views across the old fishing area of Ortigia. You feel like you are living with the locals. Great value for money.

We loved our 7 night stay at Carmelos, three of us stayed and we had a room each, double bed, sofa bed and single bed up a steep ladder on a small mezzanine floor. I didn’t need to pull out the sofa bed as it was big enough as it was and very comfy. The kitchen was user friendly . We felt very safe and comfortable. I’m glad we stayed there. Great stay for the whole family. Beautiful area and lovely with the amazing market around the corner filled with fresh produce at great prices. Very quick response as we ran out of gas in one kitchen about 20 minutes. Highly recommend👍🥰

Lovely, comfortable flat, simply but characterfully decorated. Great value, spacious for a couple or could easily accommodate a family or three adults. Very responsive hosts. Do ask for recommendations - we ended up going to one of their suggestions three times! Would happily stay again.

We were very happy with the place. Great location, the ceilings were high and the rooms spacious. The fact that the bathroom is quite small did not bother us. At weekends it was sometimes quite noisy. Since it is a corner house, there is quite a lot of noise from the outside. Otherwise, we were able to sleep very well. We were provided with a crib & baby chair and contact with Aurora was also reliable and fast. We have left a parasol at the property and hope it can be used by other guests as well.

We had a very lovely stay, amazing backyard view over the waters. Robin is a very very friendly and helpful host. He gave so many nice recommendations (and hidden gems). He was thinking a lot with us and is very fast responsive. I definitely recommend his stay!

A wonderful stay in a small haven of peace. Giovanna was always very responsive and responded to our questions quickly. We were very well received by Mrs. Nella who gave us plenty of useful additional information, and in French! A nice plus. The apartment perfectly matches the description and is wonderfully well located, on the harbor overlooking the sea and the back and forth of the boats. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The atmosphere reminds us of a village despite the many tourists. We loved it! We'll be back. Sophie and Christophe

Miriam and family were wonderful hosts. They personally escorted us to the apartment on Ortigia Island and made the process a breeze. We really enjoyed Ortigia Island and Miriam's apartment is a perfect place to explore it. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.

I stayed at Leandro’s listing during my one day visit to Syracuse and enjoyed my stay as well as Syracuse very much.

Enrico was waiting our arrival. He very helpful, was clear and patient with instructions and suggestions. The apartment is well located with wonderful view from terrace. AC was appreciated, even in late October. Kitchen was very well appointed, including a variety of seasonings, some foodstuffs and coffee. Living room very comfortable with good reading lights, for those relaxing times.
