Waterfront vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

Casa Flora was very convenient for all the restaurants and attractions on Ortigia. The apartment was clean and comfortable with some stylish touches. Chiara and Gabriele were very responsive to a couple of requests.

Très bon appartement parfaitement situé à proximité de tout (Ortigia à 10mn à pied, resto, supérette et un super glacier). Le parking est un vrai plus. Veronica est extrêmement réactive et disponible. Nous avons passé un super séjour.

Salvatore's flat is gorgeous! The views from both balconies looks right onto the Fountain of Arethusa where everyone comes for photos and sunset. It's an extremely busy area but with the windows shut at night I could manage sleep by midnight. Worth it. Everything in Otogio is a short walk. The flat has everything you need, the bed was comfortable and Salvatore was a great host, giving great restaurant recommendations. note: if arriving at the Siracusa bus station, recommend taking the small red SAIS bus #106 to Archemides piazza and walking from there to the apartment.

We can't say enough good things about Stefano's place! It is in a completely walkable area -- both to Ortigia as well as the Archaeological Park, and of course, many restaurants and shops. The apartment is lovely and spacious and spotless -- right by the ocean with high ceilings and a very comfortable bed. Stefano is very responsive and a great host. He even left us a bottle of wine (and water and coffee)! Absolutely perfect stay in a terrific city. Many thanks, Stefano!!

Giuseppe and his son was very friendly and helpful. They are indeed great hosts! They gave as instructions for the public transport and even prepared everything for the coffee and breakfast! Apartment is clean and very beautiful with the sense of the sea and a song From the birds! We felt really welcomed and we enjoyed our stay! I recommend this host from the heart 💜

We had a great stay in Siracusa. The location is fabulous, and we loved drinking our morning coffee on the rooftop deck. Some of the local stray cats got a little frisky at night — you may want to pack ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Also, be aware that you can't drive to the apartment because of traffic restrictions, but luckily we pack light so it was fine to walk from the nearby parking lot. Would highly recommend!

Such a great place in a great city. Easy to walk around and can reach endless options of restaurants within few minutes. Great value for the location and plenty of space for my husband and I. Wonderful experience!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans le logement de Valentina. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’endroit calme et bien situé près de lieux de baignade. En espérant pouvoir y revenir lors de prochaines vacances.

Alessandro und Valentina sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Wir reisten mit unserer kleinen Tochter Paula an (1< Jahr) und Alessandro hat uns alles zur Verfügung gestellt, was wir brauchten. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und Paula hat super geschlafen. Ein Babybett mit höhenverstellbaren Seiten, sodass man quasi ein Familienbett hat, einen Brei-Zubereiter, Mixer, Spielzeug, extra Decken zum Krabbeln - ganz herzlichen Dank dafür! Die Wohnung im EG liegt in einem traumhaften Garten, man kann direkt aufs Meer sehen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Kleines, aber feines Apartment, das ich gerne empfehlen kann. Francesca war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man kann die Stadt von dort aus gut zu Fuß erkunden. Parken konnte ich umsonst auf der Straße vor dem Haus.

This is a great place for a taste of Ortigia — its criss-crossing streets, ruins, cats, an intense sense of history. Giuseppe is a helpful host, and his apartment is a gem. The rooftop deck, in particular, is terrific (note that the washer is up there). The small kitchen is well-equipped, and the apartment is close to the outdoor market for veggies and fresh fish. We cooked dinner several times, although there are also many fine restaurants close by. The only things to keep in mind: the stairs are steep between each level, as other commenters have noted, and this would not be a good rental for anyone with accessibility issues; the approach to the apartment may seem stranger and less inviting than it really is, especially for Americans who are used to everything being orderly and clean. I say embrace everything here that speaks of a different way of being in the world.

Sara’s place was great. Extremely spacious and could not be any closer to the beautiful beach and lido. We went a little before the holiday season started so most restaurants/shops in Fontane Bianche were closed, which is something to be aware of when you book.

We loved our 7 night stay at Carmelos, three of us stayed and we had a room each, double bed, sofa bed and single bed up a steep ladder on a small mezzanine floor. I didn’t need to pull out the sofa bed as it was big enough as it was and very comfy. The kitchen was user friendly . We felt very safe and comfortable. I’m glad we stayed there. Skønt ophold for hele familien. Smukt område og dejligt med det fantastiske marked rundt om hjørnet fyldt med friske råvarer til gode priser. Meget hurtig rektion da vi løb tør for gas i det ene køkken ca. 20 min. Kan varmt anbefales👍🥰

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Andréa et Elena. L'appartement a du caractère avec ses plafonds très hauts et ses tomettes colorées. Sa proximité d'Ortigia est un grand avantage pour qui veut visiter l'île. Elena a été de très bons conseils, notamment pour nous indiquer des restau et supermarchés. Elle est très réactive et sympathique, ce qui a grandement contribué à faciliter notre arrivée à Syracuse. On recommande !

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Tolle Lage, die Decken war hoch und die Zimmer geräumig. Dass, das Bad recht klein ist, hat uns nicht gestört. Am Wochenende war es teilweise recht laut. Da es ein Eckhaus ist, kommt recht viel Lärm von außen an. Ansonsten konnten wir aber sehr gut schlafen. Wir haben ein babybett & babystuhl bereitgestellt bekommen und der Kontakt mit Aurora war auch zuverlässig und schnell. Wir haben einen Sonnenschirm in der Unterkunft gelassen und hoffen, dass er auch von anderen Gästen genutzt werden kann.

Marias Wohnung liegt in einer tollen Gegend in Ortigia. Sie und ihr Mann waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns sogar vom Bahnhof abgeholt und zur Wohnung gefahren. Das Bett war gemütlich und sauber. Wir würden wiederkommen :-)

We had a very lovely stay, amazing backyard view over the waters. Robin is a very very friendly and helpful host. He gave so many nice recommendations (and hidden gems). He was thinking a lot with us and is very fast responsive. I definitely recommend his stay!

Giovanna and her colleague Nella were super responsive & helpful. Great directions & local recommendations. Elevator up to apartment, good lighting. Two nice bedrooms and two bathrooms plus clothes washing machine & drying rack. Lovely balconies looking over the harbor. Wine and bottled water waiting for us on arrival. Easy walk into Ortigia with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Caffe Apollo or Caffe Viola for breakfast close by. We also did a half day drive down to Noto on a rainy day - well worth the visit! Cosy apartment directly at the waterfront, with lots of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. Alberto is a very friendly and responsive host.

Miriam and family were wonderful hosts. They personally escorted us to the apartment on Ortigia Island and made the process a breeze. We really enjoyed Ortigia Island and Miriam's apartment is a perfect place to explore it. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations.
