“We had a really lovely March weekend, with the spring flowers coming into bloom in the garden, the fire burning, woodpeckers, lambs - we did long local walks and were delighted that the house (we didn't realise) is on one of the walkways that stretches across the area. Rye is a delight with excellent bookshops and antiques, sea breezes at Camber Sands, and there are lots of great National Trust/nearby sites to visit. The local pub is cosy with good food (we walked back along the lanes by moonlight), the house is extremely peaceful and comfortable (very good for lots of reading and naps). We would definitely love to come back. Thanks Alice.”
Stone Green Oast is a traditional square kiln oast converted to comfortable, pet friendly holiday accommodation. The oast has a secure garden and is situated in a quiet village between Rye and Tenterden.
“You'll be amazed when you see this oast house in the flesh. So quaint and full of character, this accomodation exceeded our expectations. Mandy was a warm and welcoming host, even though we only spoke for a few minutes. The garden is spacious, gets the sun all day & the French doors open to the main bedroom. It's so pretty! Mandy's homemade and locally sourced goodies are an added bonus, as are the hotel-style toiletry miniatures. The whole place is spotless too. A very comfortable and relaxing stay x”
We offer 1300 sq. ft of spacious, modern accommodation situated half an hour from J 10 on the M20, and half-way between Tenterden and Rye. It's a short drive to the great Camber Sands Beach. 40 minutes or so from the Eurotunnel - we have often gone to Paris for lunch!! Lots to do in the area - Kentish vineyards, National Trust and English Heritage properties, a real steam railway a few miles away, a leisure centre, beauty spas, local museum, McArthur Glen Outlet in Ashford and lots more.
“The Lodge was a welcome retreat for a quiet new year break away from everything. Helen and John were welcoming and informative hosts, live next door but left us to our own devices throughout the stay. The Lodge is very well equipped, comfortable, warm, spacious and was perfect for our needs; rather than just a base we wanted peace and quiet and a view to stare out at, to read and draw, and it fitted the bill. It was also well located for Rye and Tenterden. We would definitely recommend and would love to return.”
