“We had a truly great stay at “the retreat”. The cottage provided for a very cozy and comfortable stay and it is located in a BEAUTIFUL backyard with fruit trees and seating areas. Ted and Edith are friendly, accommodating and responsive hosts and they do the little extra for their guests to have a nice time during their stay. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay in the retreat when visiting the Monterey Bay Area!”

“Diana is a kind host and her cottage is a very special place. I felt relaxed, comfortable, and enjoyed my 5 day trip. Salinas is an adorable old-town, not far from Monterey/Carmel. I had a delicious lunch at John Steinbeck's boyhood home, which is a 10 minute drive from the cottage. I also took a couple lovely day trips to Carmel and Pebble Beach. Highly recommend Diana's place and I hope to come back very soon :)”

“An amazing little retreat! Very private, we felt we were the only ones one the hill. The sunset was jaw dropping and we had dinner on a little bench surrounded by gold color. Two deers came in the meadow below and added to our wonderful experience. The outdoor shower is not to be missed. Warm water right at the edge of the forest. A memorable moment. Communication with Kelley was easy and instructions very clear. Highly recommend a visit to this unique place.”
