Guest Suite on the Cooper River. Located less than 6 miles from Cypress Gardens and 29 miles from downtown Charleston, SC. This guest suite has great views and access to lots of fishing, hunting, kayaking, and fun. Get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown after a long day of sightseeing with the bells of Mepkin Abbey (located across the river), a beverage on the deck or dock, and the views of the river. We’ve seen bald eagles, alligators, dolphins, and manatees!
“We loved staying on the river and even had a chance to fish. The view from the apartment was very nice. The drive into Charleston was only 30 minutes and we enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle in the evening. All of the amenities at Shannon's place were perfect and we couldn't have asked for anything more.”

Your private suite has its own separate entrance, a private bath, and sleeps four comfortably. We hope you'll visit us soon!
“My kids and I visited Beth’s place for a much needed little getaway. Our experience was truly amazing. She and Joe went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their place is absolutely gorgeous, with breathtaking views. I loved having my morning coffee outside on the deck, while enjoying the wildlife on the Cooper River. The kayaks were GREAT. My kids really enjoyed the tree swing, catching minnows, and roasting hot dogs and s’mores in the fire pit!! I could not have asked for a more perfect mini vacation. Next time we will stay longer! MANY thanks again to Beth and Joe!”
Tucked in at the end of a long dirt road you’ll find this peaceful 3 bedroom country escape over looking a large pond to the front and a fishing pond in the back. The home is 3 miles from the McClellanville village where you can dine on local fare, buy fresh seafood to cook in your spacious kitchen and be taken back in time by lovely southern homes and huge live oak trees. We are located just 25 minutes from the Mount Pleasant area and halfway in between Charleston & Myrtle Beach.
“You know how when you find a nice little restaurant that serves good food at a fair price, where you feel comfortable and welcome, and you find yourself feeling like a “regular”? You like the place just the way it is, and you know if you tell too many people about it or it gets too popular that sooner or later when you go in, there will be someone sitting at “your” table. Well, that’s how I think about this place. It’s not only a great value, it’s also just about perfect in many ways. This place is situated towards the end of an unpaved lane out in the country. It’s quiet and peaceful. There’s possibly the most beautiful little pond out back and a big screened-in porch out front. The neighbors are pleasant. It’s the kind of place where people still wave when you drive by. Reminds me in that way of where I grew up. Anyway, there’s no WiFi or cable TV, and as far as I’m concerned, that just makes it better. If you come down here looking for WiFi, well, maybe we don’t share the same idea of “getting away from it all.” There’s a big kitchen, a large dining room table, and a comfortable couch in the living room. The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms are large and everything clean. Can’t stop thinking about this place. Nice, friendly owners also. Southern hospitality is a real thing, and it’s something the world could do with more of.”
