Waterfront vacation rentals in Jurassic Coast

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Accommodation is very homely and comfortable with lots of home comforts. It is a perfect location for access to beach, harbour and town with ease of access to some lovely bars and restaurants. Fantastic location for beautiful walks. We’ve stayed here many times and will do so again.

The apartment is in a stunning location overlooking the SS Great Britain. The apartment block is very well kept, situated in lovely gardens. Inside, it is very comfortable with expansive views of the river from the lounge and terrace. Would highly recommend.

The apartment was well located and had all amenities. From our arrival to leaving, everything was available within the apartment, which was clean, comfortable and perfect for a long weekend. The area is well located, close to the sea and the nice town on Bidport, with a nice local market on the Saturday morning (worth a walk - around 30 minutes). Travelled to Weymouth but we recommend the 53 bus for the views along the cliff.. amazing and worth the ride just for this view (take the upper level if a double-decker). We'll be back, just for the location and the people. :-)

We had a fantastic stay here. The apartment far exceeded our expectations. It was home from home and had everything you'd need. I just hope everyone respects Rachel's lovely place and all her lovely ornaments etc. So much character and very homely. Rachel was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond. If you are looking for an apartment with a fantastic location this spot would be ideal. Located in Kingswear there are stunning views across to the Dartmouth embankment and harbour made more picturesque with the steam railway passing by. The apartment is immaculately presented with the kind gesture of milk and biscuits on arrival, all home comforts and a beautiful balcony which captures the sun and adds to the appeal. There are 2 pubs and wine bar within a five minute walk and 2 fine dinning restaurants amongst many other eateries across in Dartmouth. We can’t thank our host enough for a great stay.

Perfect accommodation, great communication, very happy and would use again

This was our second stay. Everything was as nice as we remembered from our first visit. The flat is spacious and well-appointed, the location is private and quiet, and the hosts are friendly and responsive. What more could you ask for in an AirBnB?

The house is very spacious and in a stunning peaceful location. There was more space at the front, back and inside than the description suggested. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Stylish beach house is exactly what it says it is. Very clean comfortable, lots of space. It is right in the heart of the pubs,restaurants,shops and beach. Would definitely recommend to a friend or relative. Tristan the host was amazing very helpful and kind. Would definitely like to go back there again some other time.

16 of us stayed very comfortably in this beautiful house to celebrate my husbands birthday. It’s an easy walk to the beach. The tram ride was good fun and we walked to Axmouth for lunch. The town is nice with independent shops. Unfortunately the drains were blocked which caused a smell in the house. We contacted the agent who responded quickly and got someone out to sort it. I would definitely recommend this house. It is beautiful, the decor, furniture, soft furnishings, everything was of the highest quality. We were a group of 16 and we were all very comfortable.

I stayed here for a weekend with my parents (in their 70s) and sister and we all had a great time. It's a pretty stretch of coastline and the property's location is fantastic, backing right onto the coastal path and within a couple of minutes' walk to a natural pebble beach that's suitable for swimming if that's your thing. The house is nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The hosts were also communicative and responded quickly when we had a question. Recommended!

Loved this stay. A peaceful break with stunning views. Actually nice to be away from the busyness of Dartmouth but still so easy to get across on the ferry. Have stayed in multiple places across Dartmouth, but this is my new go to. Big thanks to Matt for allowing me to leave a gift for my mum, who loved the pictures we sent so much she booked to stay the day we left!

Wonderful, just wonderful! My family and I loved our stay in the Sandpearl apartment. Most of all, the view from the living room and the master bed room is just amazing, I could spend hours just watching the sea waves and the beach and listening to the sea... the apartment itself is spotlessly clean and has everything one might need but nothing feels like clutter. The kitchen even included plastic plates and bowls for children, and the living room had a good selection of books and boardgames. The host, Debbie, was very helpful, always responding very quickly. We asked for local recommendations for food on Easter Sunday and got a few options to choose from. The location itself, right at the beach and right in the middle of Weymouth, couldn't be better either. An overall winner that I would highly recommend. Already talking about maybe coming back to this exactly same place again sometime soon!

Great little flat with a perfect view. Had everything we needed in the kitchen -we managed to cook a roast dinner at home one night. The sunsets are so beautiful to watch from the warmth and comfort of the lounge. Sue is fab and theres enough places to eat nearby if you want to go out.

This apartment was exactly as described. It had a beautiful view of the river. Bed was comfortable and the apartment was immaculate. Ted was very responsive to questions and was readily available to help if needed. We would definitely stay at Ted’s beautiful apartment again if we ever return to Southampton!

This is a beautiful apartment right on the sea front. It was super clean, easy to access, spacious and perfect for our long weekend getaway. We will absolutely be returning!
