If you're looking for a hike, there are some beautiful spots nearby: – Tiilikkajärvi National Park (approx. 30 minutes): trails of various lengths through the forest and along the water. – Älänne: A peaceful area with marshes, ridges, and lake ridges. – Couples tour: A ridge trail that ends at a lookout point overlooking the lake scenery. – Pisavuori: A short but steep climb to the observation tower. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

In summer, the place has the special feature of the cowbell ringing in the adjacent, fenced forest pasture when a small herd arrives at the beach to drink.

Transport to the island (900 m) is arranged by the host's motorboat. For those arriving by boat, there is a wind-protected berth on the island.
