Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Kandiyohi County

We had a great time! The home is large, lovely and well-stocked with everything, even the perfect amount of toys! This was a good place for an extended family gathering. (The little ones also enjoyed the small playground.) The little bay the home is on is very peaceful; it's nice for kayaking. There is a nearby boat launch, which allowed us to use the home's dock for our boat and easily go out onto the larger part of the lake to fish. We also very much appreciated Jonathan and Jenny's minimal cleaning and checkout rules. Some Airbnb places have ridiculous requirements. Jonathan and Jenny were very prompt in their responses to our messages.

Lisa went above and beyond to help our 1 month stay in December be as comfortable as possible. She was always easy to get a hold of if we had any questions. The home is an older home but we knew that going in. Even being older it still had everything we needed for a family of 4. It was beautiful inside and out . The surroundings were beautiful. If you appreciate history, nature and small town feel. I highly recommend this peaceful home. Lisa was a great host and we definitely appreciate her making her home open to us for a whole month. If we ever had to go back to willmar MN we would definitely reach out to her for another booking. Thank you Lisa!

I would highly recommend DesiRae’s to those looking for a peaceful home in nature. The home has a calming energy that matches the vibe of the lake and surrounding area. Modern amenities like fast wi-fi made it a functional space also. Communication with the host was seamless throughout.

We had a great stay at the cabin. Used it as a home base for hiking several area state parks and biking the Glacial Lakes State Trail. It was a peaceful neighborhood with a beautiful location on the lake. Kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean and comfortable. Mark was very friendly and a great host.

Great stay, beautiful home. The kiddos loved the space and family nerf gun fight in the basement. Great location and super cozy.

We absolutely loved our weekend! Megan's place was perfect for our two families to getaway, relax and have fun. We loved the rustic and simplistic feel. My husband and friend were in heaven using the cast iron pans too! Our kids loved spending the days playing on the sandy beach, in the water and fishing off the dock. Also, whatever we forgot, Megan had! Great weekend and can't wait to visit again!!
