“D: A wonderful accommodation in the middle of nature with everything pleasant, what it needs. The accommodation is very stylish and offers an absolute feel-good atmosphere. The view from the living room into the garden and the donkeys to the pasture is outstanding. The terrace is great and also offers the possibility to air. The bathroom is very nice, modern and spacious. It is great that in the living room and the kitchen by the sunlight can be (very) warm during the day and this heat dazert then in the evening and makes it very comfortable. In the basement with bedroom and bathroom it stays cool. It recommended to air in the basement well. e: A wonderful place in the middle of nature with everything you need. With dramatic views of the bay and across the water to St Anthony headland, from both the master bedroom and the living room, Chapel Cottage offers a great vantage point to watch all the waterborne activities in St Mawes. Only moments from the harbour area, this is a very popular position to stay in St Mawes.
“Chapel Cottage is in a perfect location - offering great sea views, and a stones throw from the restaurants and bars. Very comfortable accommodation for two people or a young family. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.”
Fal River Cottage is a small, dog-friendly, traditional cottage, which benefits from the most amazing river views. It is based in Malpas (near Truro) and is just three doors down from the very popular Heron Inn. The cottage itself dates to the 1800's and was tastefully renovated in 2019, offering traditional features alongside modern-living luxuries. To the front, there is a small decked area which is ideal for alfresco breakfasts. This leads into the lounge, which is well equipped with a log burner, BT TV (with sports), books and games. To the rear of the cottage there is a new kitchen/dining area, which is well equipped for home cooking. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, which share a traditional ‘Jack’n’Jill’ bathroom. There is a spacious and light double bedroom allowing you to watch the river as you lie in bed. The second bedroom is a cozy single, which also serves as access to the rear garden. There are steep stairs leading to the rear garden featuring two separate seating areas, which both benefit from the amazing river views. The upper level is great for kicking back and lying down on those hot summer days when a little shade is welcome. The lower, patio area is more open and offers comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing in the tranquil surroundings of Cornish countryside. The elevated position offers guests amazing, uninterrupted river view - both internally and externally. The cottage also benefits from being just three doors away from the popular Heron Inn.
“Such a beautiful cottage in an idyllic location- we had such a relaxing weekend escape. We loved having breakfast in the garden, taking in the breath taking views (the patio is a wonderful sun trap, even on a sunny December morning it was lovely and warm)! The cottage itself has all the amenities you could wish for and is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully furnished. The welcome hamper was a lovely gesture- we were very grateful and dug straight in after our long journey. Phil is was fantastic host and made fantastic restaurant suggestions! We took the scenic river walk to the neighboring village of St Clement which we would recommend (just make sure you wear good foot wear as it gets very muddy)! Thank you very much Phil- we had a perfect weekend and we can’t wait to visit again!”
