Monthly Rentals in Kew Gardens, Queens

A comfortable ,very serviceable room in a safe neighborhood. You do need to walk through the hostess’ home to get to the room, but once inside, there is privacy. The bed is comfortable . The private bath was clean enough but not fancy. ( there was some stained grout, but it was clean) The room was cooled by a slightly noisy ceiling fan while we were there .(mid April). The hosts mother owns the home, and is there all the time. FYI she is very sweet, but does not speak English. You are given an exterior house key, but the bedroom only locks from the inside/ you cannot ‘lock your room’ when you leave for the day ( NY state law? Shower pressure was good; there is a little coffee maker in room but no other kitchen setup. Easy walk to the LIRR( maybe 4 minutes); we felt very safe walking all times of day. Also a nice coffee shop at the LIRR station. A very quick ride into Manhattan where you can switch to the subway if necessary! the KG subway station is more of a walk, but doable.

Jean and Monique were wonderful hosts. Helpful without being officious. Pleasant and engaging, but respectful of our privacy. Very personable and pleasant to deal with all around. The house is small, as the listing clearly states, but it is well equipped and comfortable. The location is ideal for anyone who wants a quiet, safe neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, but with easy access to public transportation to the city. We had a bit of snow and ice during our stay and both Jean and Monique were very conscientious about cleaning the steps and walkways. All in all a perfect stay and would definitely come again.

It was a pleasure to stay in an area that was peaceful but still close enough to everything you need. I was able to find a laundromat, grocery store, and many restaurants all within a few blocks. The space was very nice and well-kept. The room that I stayed in was really spacious for a room in New York and I loved the mini-fridge.

Great apartment in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient contactless check-in and check-out. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for a great week in NYC. Joel is great and communicative host. I would definitely recommend staying here :)
