Our house is situated on the edge of Wirksworth in Millers Green, its 15 – 20 minute stroll into the centre of town either over the fields along a well-defined footpath or along the road and walking distance to Haarlem Mill. It is in a private cul-de- sac of just four houses so does not suffer from any traffic noise.
“Andy and Sue were really warm and welcoming hosts - they made us feel really at home. They are really knowledgeable about the local area, and provided detailed directions of some great walks around Wirksworth and beyond. The house is absolutely spotless, the bed was really comfortable and breakfast was delicious. We'd definitely stay here again.”
A beautiful room in a lovely house on a quiet road in Duffield which is close to the A38 and 6 miles from Derby City Centre. Duffield is a lovely village with restaurants, shops, bars and open countryside within walking distance from the house. The bedroom has a dual-aspect to the garden, an ensuite bathroom and is on the ground floor with its own separate access via the dining room.
“This is a beautiful space in which to stay. I spent a night here before a very busy weekend and it was ideal. Apart from the decor, the place is nice and quiet, but very well situated... Handy for the village and places beyond. Communication was easy, as was coming in and leaving the following day. I had a lovely evening there and would recommend!!”
A cosy, quirky 17th/19th century cottage with simple charm. Small, stone, single storey one bed dwelling that used to be the village shop. Log burner in the spacious lounge. A kitchen with everything you need and it's own secret garden with views of Riber castle which can be seen whilst sitting in the rustic garden room. Ideally located for exploring the Peak District National park and the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. Matlock 2.5 miles away with pubs, supermarket, restaurants, shops etc.
“We really enjoyed our stay in this cute little quaint cottage. It was the perfect size and had all these home touches to it. The check in was easy with the key safe. Parking was close by. The location is perfect for driving to the peak district and matlock nearby. The garden was a plus and the log burner was just perfect for the cold nights. We were able to use the cooker and shower with ease. And finally Trudy is such lovely host! Next time we visit the peak, we will definitely stay here again! Thank you for such a lovely stay.”
