We renovated a two-story storehouse built in the Edo period and made it into a guest house. Although it is not spacious, a kitchen with an IH cooking heater is installed on the first floor, while maintaining the atmosphere of a storehouse with its earthen walls and thick beams. The first and second floors are equipped with air conditioning for a comfortable stay. You can experience the sound insulation, summer coolness, and winter warmth unique to a storehouse. If you like, you can enjoy coffee made with freshly ground beans. Sister-gawa Onsen and Ibuki Yakuza-Yu are about 15 minutes away by car. We can provide you with a ticket for Sankawa Onsen (cheaper than the regular price). Please contact us about pick-up and drop-off. There are many tourist spots unique to Nagahama, which has often been the stage of history. Hikone Castle, a National Treasure, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Nagahama Castle, the birthplace of Ishida Mitsunari, one of Japan's leading mountain castles, Otaki, the site of the battle, and others. It is also less than 20 minutes by car to the Sekigahara Battlefield. In addition to the area around Lake Biwa, there are plenty of non-historical attractions such as Japan's oldest railway station building, Nagahama Railway Square, the Yanmar Museum where children can play, and Kurobane Square. You can also enjoy gourmet food such as Omi beef, duck cuisine, grilled mackerel somen, noodles, salad bread, duck, and small ayu.

TABITABI CANOE MITSU

Tabitabi Kanoe Mitsu is a fully renovated, over 100-year-old Kyomachi house, located right next to Rokubo-Ritsu-Ji Temple, and is limited to one group per day. Looking from the entrance, you can see the garden spreading beyond the Yukimi Shoji sliding screen. It features a large palm tree. When you open the window from the living room, the semi-open-air bath directly connected to the garden invites guests to the best healing experience regardless of the season. The bathtub is made of Shigaraki-yaki, produced in a kiln in Shiga Prefecture. The far infrared effect warms the body to the core and makes it difficult for the bath to cool down. Why not relax from the daily grind while enjoying a drink and taking in the beautiful Japanese garden? The Japanese-style room on the second floor features a shoji screen with a Mondrian-style design. The bedroom headboard is designed to resemble the Tateyama mountain range. Please forget the daily hustle and relax.

Kyoto Seifu-an is a stylish and traditional Kyomachi-style inn that is clean and has modern facilities

Kyoto Seifuan is a private inn in a traditional Kyoto townhouse, located a short distance from the Shirakawa riverbank in Higashiyama Sanjo. Also, the alley in front is very quiet, with almost no traffic, so you can spend plenty of time relaxing. Kyoto Seifuan is a 4-minute walk from Higashiyama Station on the Tozai Line, with easy access to transportation and shopping, and you can also walk to nearby temples, Heian Jingu, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu Temple, and Gion. To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs.
