“We stayed here for one night and had a lovely time! Didn’t want to leave! Beautiful views of the countryside and great use of games room, park and football area! Hot tub was amazing! Beautifully decorated and clean, lots of kitchen utensils for baking! plastic cutlery available but bring own plastic plates if needed for children. Bring your own shampoo and shower gel and dvds if you want to watch your own movie on the downstairs tv. Very quiet location but within easy distance of shops around 10 minutes so that was great. Very comfy beds with extra pillows!”
Town Street Barn is a 300 year old traditional limestone barn that has been converted into a luxury holiday cottage. Situated in the picturesque Peak District village of Brassington, it is the perfect retreat for honeymooners, walkers, or anyone looking for a relaxing country break.
“If you’re looking to treat yourself, this is definitely the place to stay. I’m incredibly happy I got to spend my birthday in this beautiful barn. Hannah was there to welcome us and made sure everything went smoothly during our stay from topping up firewood, giving us a great recommendation to a local pub and even lending us a newly released film we hadn’t seen yet. There were thoughtful touches in the place like a breakfast hamper, popcorn and chocolate in the cinema room and much more. My favourite feature was definitely the bath tub in the bedroom! Such a great idea. I could gush about this place forever. Really want to come back and stay here again ASAP!”
Our cottage is self contained and attached to our house. There is a sunken hot tub in the garden. Set in a tranquil, traditional Peak District village with local pub, there's a small shop in the pub that's open during pub opening hours. Perfect location for keen walkers, climbers or cyclists and there are several lovely National Trust houses, including Chatsworth, within easy driving distance. Ashbourne is 15 mins away with good quality independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
“The cottage is a cosy cottage nestled in the village of Parwich with great walks right on your doorstep. I come with my boyfriend for a quiet weekend to walk, relax and explore the Peak District. The cottage has everything you could need for a lovely break. With the village pub around the corner and Ashbourne a short drive away you have everything need within easy enough distance for it to still be a peaceful getaway. There was always plenty of hot water after a days walking and the hot tub was very lovely to relax in. The log burner was great feature too. I'd definitely recommend staying at the cottage.”
