A fresh and cosy guest house with a sauna, with a nice sea view, located in a bay in the archipelago of Maxmo ca ½ h drive from Vaasa. For 2 adults (not suitable for children, but small infants possible). It is very well equipped and located only 15 m from the shore line. A rowing boat and 2 older bikes available for our guests. Suitable for use all around the year (electrical floor heating and A/C). The hosts are availible most of the time, and speak English, Swedish and Finnish.
“Absolutely a wonderful and idyllic destination to spend relaxing moments in stunning scenery. We rowed at sea, took a sauna late at night, and played yard games. Many opportunities for the destination will be missed next time. The host was very friendly and hospitable. We warmly recommend the item to others! Yes, we will come again!”

“Absolutely recommendable. Paula is a really great host! She is always kind and offered us a belated Christmas dinner :) Her house is also really beautiful, a little bit outside the city but good reachable by car. It is a quite and lovely hood, where you can calm down and relaxe perfectly.”
The 100 years old traditional stockhouse in a little village in the archipelago of Maxmo in Vöyri. The closest shop is about 10 km. The atmosphere is calm and quiet in the village. The place is 10 km from the local center and 40 km from the city center of Vaasa, the capital of the Pohjanmaa/Österbotten county. The region is about 50:50 bilingual finnish-swedish speaking. Lots of people speak both languages. English is a common foreign language. You get by with english very well.
“A cosy no-frills cottage - a super friendly host! Everything as described. The cottage has one very large bedroom with several beds, and a double bed in the combined living/diningroom ("tupa"). An indoor WC (and an outhouse too), hot and cold water in tap, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and dishwasher are provided, as well as very comfy down duvets and pillows. Plenty of pans, pots, ladels and other cooking paraphernalia as well as lots of crockery can be found in the kitchen. No shower, one uses the tidy sauna for washing - therefore, some forethought is needed for ablutions! The sauna and water heat up nicely in about 1,5 - 2 hours. A bibliophile will appreciate the eclectic bookshelf where there are books in several languages. A nice selection of board games provides activities for the evening. The tiny TV does work, if a little erratically, but who wants to watch telly when there are so many other things to do? The garden is of good size and there is a little veranda with barbeque and a hot tub. A relaxing little getaway!”
