Great location with direct access to the Alpine and cross country trails. View of Gaustatoppen (1883 m above sea level) and Rjukan valley. Great hiking terrain, several nearby fishing waters, short distance to Gausta track to get to Gausta peak. Krossobanen is located at the end of Rjukandalen and here starts Hardangervidda with many great bike paths. The cabin is suitable for families who want a mountain trip with cottage cow. It is rented to adults over 25 who treat the cottage as their own. No attachment.

In the summer there are countless hiking opportunities and if you are interested in fishing there are many good options in the area. The Gausta peak is a very popular top hike and is close by. It is about 450 meters from the lake and 10 minutes drive from the ski slopes of Norefjell. The high mountains of Norway starts here. The trolls are in the woods just behind the cabin.
