“Lovely lake house! We rested with our family on New Year's holidays - as if we had visited a fairy tale, the dearest owners even dressed a Christmas tree for us))) Winter this year let us down, but this did not prevent a wonderful vacation. The house is very comfortable and it just has everything! you’ll need some kind of nonsense when traveling and don’t know where to run, but here in the kitchen are all kinds of cutlery, knives, dishes, spices, all kinds of utensils, I enjoyed cooking))) There is a sauna, a washing machine, a dryer and a dishwasher, a warm floor , living room with TV. You can just walk by the lakes nearby, or you can drive to the Hirvijarvi hiking trail or the Sappee ski resort in 20 minutes. Within an hour's drive, the Hymenlinna fortress, the tank museum in Password, the Moomin museum in Tampere ... In general, wonderful, we want to return to go fishing in the summer”
Enjoy a beautiful landscape of lakes in a peaceful lakeside setting just 10 meters from the water. Pls NOTE: 3 SEPARATE BUILDINGS 1. small log cabin (25 m2) with terrace and wood burning sauna. In the cabin: living room/kitchenette( sofabed ) and small sleeping alcove (bed 120 cm). 2. next door (26 m from the cabin ) separate building: guest eco-toilet and small summer bedroom. 3. Garage building of the host: shower (summer 2020 only on request).
“I spend wonderful 4days in this house, I really really recommend you to visit a Pasdasjoki. The cabin was super lovely than we expected, and this host was super super friendly and helpful for us, and they welcomed us like our father and mother. Our host said that it's better to visit in summer, but we could enjoy sauna and ice hall and make wonderful memories surrounded by forest and snow.We must come back in summer to enjoy berry and mushroom picking and meet them. Many times as cute as the images posted, they were the most wonderful hosts. Without a car, Finland treated us like a daughter for us for the first time, including pick-up, return bus search, sauna preparation. My host mother told me that in summer I could enjoy berry picking and boating on the lake, but we had the most luxurious holiday surrounded by snow and nature. Of course I would like to visit again in the summer, but I highly recommend visiting here in any season.”
Special pearl located in the middle of Längelmävesi. Total tranquality of your own island. Small, cozy cottage with sauna only few meters from the water. One room with all necessities you need. Fridge, stowe and heating work by gas, outdoor toilet, solarpanel for charging mobile phone and computer. Gasgrill outside and big sundecks in front of the cottage. Little motorboat in use.
“This place is, quite frankly, amazing. For us it was like being parachuted on to another planet. A very beautiful and peaceful planet. But it's perhaps not for everyone. The cabin itself is quite small (okay, very small - but we managed just fine), there's no plumbing (so no showers or flush toilet I'm afraid), no mains electricity (but enough power from a solar panel to keep our phones and laptops charged, and provide light for the cabin), and no easy access to shops or nightlife or that kind of thing. You'd also definitely struggle if there are more than two of you, as there's only sleeping space for two and only just luggage space for two. There's also (obviously) no clothes washing facilities, except for the lake. The fridge is gas-powered, but it does the job, the toilet is a compost toilet - again, it does the job, and the gas hob and oven are basic but function perfectly well. However, the main selling points here are that a) you get an amazing tree and berry-covered island to relax on and/or explore, b) the surrounding stunning freshwater lake to swim in and gaze out upon constantly, c) your own little motorboat to explore the lake with, d) your own wood fired sauna to wash, relax and get steamy in, e) the wonderful peace and tranquility of the area, and f) the intense pleasure of having this private paradise all to yourself. Anneli is a generous and friendly host, with the patience of a saint. She stocked up the fridge for us the first night, supplied us with tons of firewood for the sauna, oil for the lamps, compost for the toilet, and drinking water. She also took particular time to explain to us how to control the motor on the boat, and how to operate the sauna. She also answered A LOT of questions (including one really strange request) and offered to provide tips for things to do in Helsinki. So yes, I cannot recommend this place enough, and am already looking forward to returning as soon as humanly possible!”
