“Superb! A beautiful home with every mod-con you could need. Very comfortable with a spectacular setting. There were nice touches like the children’s toys and games that were there and lots of basics in the kitchen if you need to cook (like oil, salt, pepper, sugar, etc). The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and we particularly enjoyed the tomatoes and figs that the neighbour brought down for us when we arrived.”
T1 indépendant dans villa située à la campagne, distant de 1,5 km du village d'Astaffort. Très calme. Terrasse couverte disponible avec mobilier de jardin. Lieu idéal pour circuits de randonnées à pied ou à vélo.
“Stay reserved for my parents near my village. They were very excited. Here is their comment. We are delighted with our stay in this quiet and very well equipped cottage. Thank you for their welcome to our guests present and available but very discreet. We took advantage of the calm of the countryside in this beautiful garden located near the main roads that allow you to visit the region. We will definitely stay there again.”
Very comfortable converted cowshed in the heart of the Gers. Closed to many sites of interest (Lectoure, Condom, La Romieu, Abbaye de Flaran, Auch, etc) and activity centres (golf, VTT, rambling, swimming pool complex, etc)
“WOW! This place was gorgeous, and so convenient to all the tiny villages in the Gascogne. I love the juxtaposition of the ancient stone walls and the modern update. The stairs were pretty scary at first, but within a few days we were running up and down like goats on a mount side. The only things I would add is a night light in the bathroom, as the stairs need to be at least outlined in the dark, and maybe a box of kleenex. Otherwise, we had a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, hair dryer, parking space, clothes line, and access to a washing machine, which we didn't bother with. No AC of course, but a fan should be able to take care of any really hot nights. We did OK without in the beginning of AUG. We just left the windows open and insects were not a problem, tho several did come in. Our hosts were amazing, providing a continental breakfast, hiking maps, an evening visit with them and their daughter, recommendations for local restaurants, and a ticket for breakfast at a duck farm. Our favorite thing to do so far was the 4 hour lunch and lecture at the duck farm (Terre Blanche), where we had a breakfast with bread, wine, coffee, cake and 4 types of pate. Then we saw the feeding of the ducks, and watched a dressing and cut up a fresh liver and tested a piece right there and then. It was the last bite of pate that did us in. Delicious, but way too rich to eat 4 kinds at once. Other local delights included the village of Lectoure with several great restaurants and the best hiking. Do Lectoure hike No. 1, though the last bit is very steep as you reclimb to the village. I would go again. It was charming!”
