Bergerac House is an ancient stone farmhouse situated between Bergerac and the Unesco village of St Emilion. Five minutes from the historic riverside town of Ste Foy la Grande famous for it's Saturday market, and other beautiful bastide villages such as Issigeac and Eymet. The spectacular 27 hole golf course, Chateau des Vigiers, is a stones throw from the house as are many well know vineyards.
“Our stay was wonderful, the house was perfectly clean, brilliantly decorated and furnished and lovely and cool in the hot weather. The accommodation was perfect for our needs especially the kitchen which was very well equipped. Outside the pool and garden were beyond our expectations. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and having a supermarket just 5mins up the road made life very easy. All in all we loved our stay and will definitely be returning one day.”

“This was an OK place for budget accommodation. A little bit dark for my tastes and maybe it hadn't been aired for a while as it was out of season. There is a shaded courtyard which might be nice when it's hot. We never met or spoke to Jenny, only exchanged messages re where the recycling centre was. John came round on the second evening which was timely as we had just realised the fridge freezer wasn't working properly. He got us another one within less than half an hour. He was helpful and friendly. He also showed us where things were. The condition of the listing that you leave the place exactly as you find it or get charged 50€, made me a bit paranoid. I would be fine with paying 20€ but 50€ is excessive. The location is a tiny hamlet with a boilangerie and not much else”
