Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lake Päijänne

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at the Lake View Villa with our family. The view of the lake was absolutely stunning—especially at sunrise. The villa was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids enjoyed the outdoor space, and we appreciated the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect short getaway to relax and reconnect. Highly recommended for families looking for a scenic and serene retreat.

A weekend getaway at the cottage, in the peace of the countryside. It was peaceful and nature was nearby. You could have gone down to Messila when it was so close to the slopes, but maybe next time. It was very nice to stay here, everything worked as expected and the description of the cottage was accurate. Responses to messages were quick! It was very entertaining.

Book it! This place is incredible! From the responsiveness of Tina, through to the absolute serenity and beauty of the surrounding area plus the stylish, no expense-spared, very new and modern cabin itself. We (family of 4, including 2 in mid-late teens) had a wonderful time, relaxing in nature, walking on a frozen lake, cooking on the grill and in the very well-stocked kitchen. You definitely need a car to get there, but once there can forget everything and properly relax. We’d certainly come back. It’d be fascinating to experience in summer as well as winter.

Lea is a lovely host - very welcoming, warm, friendly, accomodating, easygoing and flexible. I had no issues whatsoever with her or my stay in her house. The house and her property by the lake is just gorgeus, the view is so calming and beautiful to look at. She takes great care of her garden too. I found the house having a very peaceful energy to it, I felt very relaxed there. The only slight downside for me personally was the double bed itself in the bedroom I stayed in. The mattress felt as it had seen it's better days, didn't feel quite firm enough for me, but then again this might not be an issue to other guests at all. I personally happen to have certain back issues and a good bed is something that's very important to me (I had forgotten to ask about the bed prior to my trip). I spoke to Lea about it after my first night and she was just wonderful with the whole thing as with everything else - didn't get triggered or provoked at all. She offered one of the other rooms to me as the single beds are firmer and that I could pretty much choose freely what ever works for me best as I was the only guest in the house during my stay. I found her to be very easygoing and just lovely in every way. I had some very nice conversations with Lea as well and we shared some great laughs too. She was also very kind to me, for example when it rained hard upon my arrival and my only shoes had gone soaking wet, she offered to dry them in the sauna for the next day. Also on another day when it kept raining, she offered me her own rain coat and rain boots so that I wouldn't get wet as I was taking part in the music festival as a singer and getting sick would have been very unfortunate. She also allowed me to practise freely in the house. Brewing a cup of coffee in the morning and the use of basic condiments such as salt and pepper while cooking in the kitchen was also included in the price. I am very pleased with my stay at Lea's beautiful home. She was a superb, fun host and seemed like a wonderful humanbeing overall. I felt great in her house and have no complaints about her whatsoever.

We had a very relaxing stay in this house surrounded by nature. The accommodation was very well equipped and tidy. The location is ideal if you want to spend a quiet stay in Finnish nature as there are no neighbors. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming. A little favorite for the wood-fired sauna located in an outbuilding of the house, which was very spacious.

A very suitable cottage for a few people in a beautiful quiet location by the lake, yet close to the services of Kouvola. There wasn't an oven in the kitchen, but thankfully this was what we did in advance from Google ratings so we knew how to change the menu accordingly. The firewood was quite big and the grill required the purchase of charcoal, but otherwise everything was found and worked. Very nice and helpful owners who helped quickly if needed :)

Juha, is very flexible and friendly. Everything went as expected and the location very comfortable. The Sauna was fantastic and there were convenience stores close to the location.

The apartment was charming and suitable for a longer stay. Beautiful leafy area close to the lakefront, coffee shop and lighthouse restaurant. Old-time vibe. Everything went smoothly. Susanna was very helpful and friendly.

The apartment was just right for four people to stay and spend the night. Good and clear instructions for check-in and stay. There is plenty of activity and entertainment (including toys and games) for a family with children. The apartment has a comprehensive tip folder for exploring the Hämeenlinna area. Warm recommendation!

Great place to stay in Lahti!

A peaceful place to spend time with a larger group. For a larger group, two toilets would be desirable, now in the cottage only one toilet. The beach sauna was 5/5. Lovely place, for the second time it was rented for the weekend.

The visit for a few nights went on 10/10 in Vääksy. The stay was just what the brochure promised, if not a touch better. Sauna, hot tub, etc. I highly recommend this home. I could imagine that in the summer, a couple of nights in this place might even be too short a visit.

Great log building with interesting details. There's plenty of room and a great place for things like birthdays. Active communication with the renter. Cars can fit well in the yard, and the residents of the cabins around can't be seen. ⚜️ I had a great time! ⚜️

That was one the best Airbnb experience among my around 30 bookings. The house was great, very comfortable and located in really quiet and peaceful place. we had a great stay at this house at the lake. the beds were good and house was warm even when it was freezing outside.

This magical place was spotless, well equipped and beautiful. Our twelve year old twins were in heaven, and so were we. Liina was so helpful with instructions and local recommendations. We are already dreaming of coming back.
