Apartment vacation rentals in Lake Tekapo

This place has set off a very high standard for our NZ trip. They have all the amenities that we would need, the reception staff was also very friendly and responsive! The super plus point is the amazing view you would get at this place, with the balcony facing Lake Tekapo and the backyard offers stargazing, even aurora sightings! Would definitely want to come back again!

We had such a great time here! The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The stars at night were absolutely stunning. Highly recommend for a peaceful and beautiful place to relax.

A comfortable, clean unit. Just right for a place to spend the night in beautiful Otematata. Good value.

Great views

The accommodation is to the rear ground floor of the building directly of State Highway 1, but there was very little road noise. The accommodation was both spacious and private and we had the choice of either bedroom. It is just a room so there are limited facilities but you could make a drink or snack. Kylee was a very responsive and friendly host. She is not on site but responds quickly to communications. Timaru itself is a coastal town with good supermarkets and restaurants but if your timing is good, you can see penguins coming in to roost at dusk at, Caroline beach, by the port.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Robyn & Ross’s. This space is sooooo spacious! We enjoyed the comfort and care in the little details. It felt just like a home. The shower was great and the bed very comfortable! We also appreciated the use of the laundry facilities nearby. I highly recommend this Airbnb :)

A lovely, peaceful little stay! Perfect little home away from home while we were traveling. The owner was kind enough to let our dog have a run in the paddock which was wonderful. And the owner's two dogs, Blue and Rocket were absolute sweeties. Will definitely stay again if we are passing through!

Lovely stay here in Geraldine to cool the legs during a cycling tour. Bridget was communicative and friendly and clearly cares about creating a welcoming space for her guests. Would stay again!

Alhena and her amazing property in Caroline Bay was absolutely amazing. The aesthetics of this place is just Devine, it is such a beautifully presented place to stay. And also so practical for a family to use (we have two children under three). It was spacious, great location. We had a wonderful welcome from the owners upon arrival. A lovely guide book of the area which for food especially we really appreciated. For someone who has never been to Timaru this has definitely made our stay even better. Also such an amazing view from the lounge room. Wish I could take some of the furniture home with me 🥰

We absolutely loved our time in Tekapo at Lisa’s AirBnb! Lisa is an incredible host, provided us with so many local recommendations and got the hot tub ready for us every night, but always gave us privacy once it was ready. The hot tub was so blissful and was incredible for star gazing! We weren’t at the Airbnb much, other than for using the hot tub and sleeping so the size of it didn’t really bother us, but a heads up for others that it is quite small inside and was pretty tight for us as we both had large suitcases. I wouldn’t let the size of the Airbnb put you off though, as it’s a great Airbnb!

Very cozy and comfortable place that just feels like home. Super clean and you can find everything you need. I could see that the place has been furnished and decorated with good taste :) We stayed two nights and it was perfect to visit lake Takepo and Mt Cook area. There are a lot of nice things one could do in the area, but we did not have enough time. I would love to come back here and stay at Kathy‘s place. The place seems a little bit remote. That’s why it’s very calm and peaceful, but without a car it would have been difficult. Fortunately we had a car.

Super comfy, very spacious, king bed, great sized kitchen to cook a storm if want to and a hop, skip & jump to the Lake! Not far from Twizel and the Salmon Visitor Centre, where on a good day you can see Mt Cook! Would definitely recommend. Thank you

Our family of 7 stayed here for 3 nights and we wished we had booked for longer! It was one of our fav places to stay at on our whole trip - stunning views, comfortable rooms, super easy check in and out, clean, quiet … and one of the most well equipped kitchens for cooking anything imaginable (they even have a rice cooker and a Korean BBQ pan)! On a clear night you can go to the back of the house and see the Milky Way! Highly recommend and would come back again!

Staying at Hayley’s is the best thing you can do! Such a lovely renovation of an amazing space. Comfy beds, great shower and spa bath welcome after a long ride on motor bikes. Hayley makes you welcome and has great recommendations , eat at @ustin92 (Austin92) great food and service. Great breakfast included

Great wee place for a weekend away with friends. Very well appointed apartment. The road noise wasn’t a problem for us. Homely and comfortable with a lovely terrace area which would be nice to use on a sunny day.

Olive and Pam are so kind. They waited for us till midnight. The room is very clean. Beds and quilts are all comfi. We refer to our friens and stay again for sure next time we come to South Island.
