“We had the most wonderful time at the cabin! Mark and Catie are fantastic hosts who gave us really great directions for finding them, which we did easily. The location is incredibly peaceful, and we loved seeing the chickens outside the cabin! The cabin is so cosy and sparkling clean, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to cook a lovely dinner. The fireplace made the cabin very warm and relaxing too. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast, and the maple syrup left in the kitchen for us was delicious. I couldn’t rate our stay more highly - I would return in a heartbeat!”
The Stable is a newly renovated space in our main barn, which has been used to facilitate educational programming for the last seventeen years. Spacious (32'x16') and bright, the Stable is like staying in a hotel room on a farm. We are only a mile and a half from major Route 7, twenty miles north of Rutland, twelve miles south of Middlebury and an hour south of Burlington. Lake Dunmore is nearby, Bomoseen and Champlain each a half hour away.
“Anne is very nice and thoughtful. We stayed here due to late planning on trying to ski in Killington and therefore had to expand our search for outlying areas to stay in. One day after we came back to rest, she greeted us with homemade cookies and muffins, and they were delicious. Communication was very smooth and the space itself is very clean with efficient heating in -7 degree weather.”
Tastefully renovated older mobile home, very clean and bright! Outside yard with gas grill and fire pit, wood included. Pet friendly with enclosed outside area for small/medium dogs right off the back porch. Washer/Dryer and fully stocked kitchen.
“We only stayed one night for a more business-oriented trip, but this WAS a cute hideaway and would have been fun to stay and enjoy Brandon, the cute backyard, etc. Alas, it was winter, but we had a very cozy night of restful sleep in a clean place complete with thoughtful local baked goods. Would stay again! Also, places to eat and shop are available, but we opted to travel 25 min to the Shoreham Inn and Pub for dinner and it was worth it :-)”
