Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Lerwick

Perfect location for exploring the Shetland Isles and mainland. We were lucky enough to be there when the RNLI had their 4th shout of 2025 and had the perfect spot to watch the launch.

With friendly, helpful hosts and a cosy, warm atmosphere, this one of the best places we’ve stayed. From the breathtaking views to the comfy and beautifully equipped accommodation with its warm and relaxing spa, Niki and Piet have created a true oasis of tranquility in a hectic world. While Shetland itself was even better than we’d hoped for, our trip was made truly special with our stay at Voortrekker.

Lovely property, host was very responsive and accommodating. Would not hesitate to recommend or re-book.

We had a great stay in incredibly comfortable and well appointed apartment in Lerwick. Check in was seamless, everything was really clean and tidy, and the beds super comfy. The hosts were really helpful and responsive and also provided us with a very useful visitor's book! 100% recommend.

Beautiful little studio. Exactly as pictured. Absolutely pristine. Bed was super comfy and pillows were amazing. Lovely shower room with fantastic local toiletries. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need including basics such as tea, coffee, salt, pepper, oil not to mention Bread milk and butter. A bag of treats and some bowls for the dogs and a bag of Puffin Poo for the humans. Flexible check in to allow us in straight off the boat. Can’t thank Heather and Gordon enough for this gem of a find.

Lovely location. Friendly local people. Ultra quiet. View of sea from outside front door. Amazon Fire TV. Electric hob and oven, microwave, coffee cafetière and teapot. Lots of mugs and glasses. Combined washing machine and dryer. Fast wi-fi. Old-fashioned hat & coat stand in lobby for coats, hats and boots. Lots of blankets and towels.

eve's accommodation was perfect for our weekend in Shetland. central location, free parking and easy to find. very clean and tidy with everything we required for our stay. Eve was prompt with any communication we had. we would have no hesitation in recommending to others. thank you. Billy & Laura

I'm not quite sure how to accurately get across just how good a place to stay Sound Lodge is. 1,000 characters surely won't allow for enough superlatives. You get fantastically kept and equipped accommodation for a couple or singleton, in a super-convenient location near the centre of the islands, on the seashore with a beautiful view of Weisdale and the water to greet you out of the west window, together with welcoming and very attentive hosts who are mines of useful information and tips. It's an exquisite place in which to relax and unwind, and if you've never been to Shetland before, I'm sure it will become your go-to place every time you go back, since finding somewhere to compare with everything Gina and Neil have to offer at Sound Lodge AND call it an upgrade I think would be the longest of long shots. My wife and I will be going back just as soon as we can, even if booking might wind up being a little bit more difficult after more people find out about this place. It is amazing.

Daisyside is a lovely home, so clean and pristine, we felt like we were entering just-completed residence. The kitchen is very well-equipped even with beyond the basics herbs and spices and the oven was spotless. The adjacent A970 is very quiet at nighttime and so useful for getting to Northmavine and hikes like Ronas Hill and Eshaness, as well as to Muckle Roe and Da Hams. The house is well-situated for a run out to Wethersta, or a drive across to Busta House for a pleasant meal. Frankie's Fish & Chips in Brae has delicious scallops. Wendy & Jeffery are very responsive and quickly replaced a faulty toaster that tripped the electrics.

This is a lovely space in Lerwick. Everything is so handy, you can pop to the Local Arts venue/cinema for coffee just down the road. The corner shop is 1 minute away. Pubs and eateries all within in easy reach. Pet friendly. Such a cool flat as well, wonderful plants everywhere and funky decor. We loved it. We would definitely book again. Saul is an excellent communicator.

This home is a stunning place to spend time. The photos don't quite do it the justice it deserves. The large & very cosy living room is complemented by the all-mod-cons kitchen. The large bedroom & extremely comfortable bed are a real boon after a hard day's holidaying. The bathroom may look small, but it has everything you need in the space. The peace & quiet is extraordinary. I loved my few days at The Chapel and can highly recommend it.

Averill’s cottage was the perfect base for our time in Lerwick. It was fully stocked with everything that we could wish for and more. Spotlessly clean and comfortable, it quickly felt like our home. We’d have no reservations at all about booking the cottage again for a return visit to Lerwick.

The photos really don't do the house justice, beautiful and cosy. Very spacious and well equipped. Lots of games to keep kids entertained and peaceful spaces for the grown ups. Cooking was delightful in the lovely kitchen, nice hot showers and dreamy beds. Fire place and gorgeous views added to the ambience. Definitely recommended and will revisit ASAP!!!

100% recommend...stunning scenery, convenient location, lovely property and friendly flexible host...we came here as shetland meant so much to my partner who had recently passed away, and it was a massive blam fpr the soul...trixie and Ellis were great hosts who made us feel at home...some great memories and have come away feeling more at peace...

Great few days here. Debbie and Dave were great hosts. Wonderful breakfasts and very helpful re places to visit. Lovely peaceful beautiful surroundings. Comfortable beds and good amenities. A wonderful break. Need a car. So many good places to visit in Shetland. Wish we could have stayed longer.

This home is in a very peaceful, beautiful location. If you are looking to unwind this is the place. The home itself is absolutely clutter free and the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy home cooked meals. The Shetland ponies across the road were fun to watch!

This was our 7th trip to Shetland, and our first stay at Valerie’s place. The flat is by far the best kitted out and most certainly has the finest views, overlooking the Lodberries and Bain’s Beach, a perfect location for an envigorating swim, one of the great pleasures of visiting Lerwick, along with watching the boats, the birds, and the people meandering along Commercial Road. It is well-located for shops and restaurants. The flat is well and comfortably furnished; it is loaded with maps, brochures and books - all the information about Shetland you could possibly want or need. Valerie is an excellent host - she is very responsive, informative, and she provided a lovely and generous welcome pack. Additionally, the flat was well-stocked with your everyday needs. Check-in was easy; parking was never a problem. We had an absolutely wonderful time at Valerie’s place, and look forward to returning there on our 8th visit to Shetland. Thanks very much, Valerie!

The loft apartment is well appointed, right in the middle of Lerwick and it has everything that you need and top it all up, beautiful harbour view. There is no better place to stay in Lerwick. Justin was a great host. It was a most delightful surprise to be welcome with delicious Shetland shortbread and sparkling wine. Justin is a very considerate host, excellent communication. I cannot recommend enough. If you a planning a visit to Shetland, there is not better place to stay than the Loft Apartment in Lerwick. A magical place! Justin, thank you so much for being a most wonderful host.
