Little Hoops is our cosy converted barn with original beams and underfloor heating throughout making it ideal for a break away at any time. We lovingly restored it with our family a number of years ago and have enjoyed making it a special place to stay, we often joke that it is far nicer than our own home! The barn has a courtyard garden with table and chairs and is close to the local pub, The Crealock Arms, the coast and all amenities you could need for an enjoyable stay away!
“Little Hoops is an excellent place to say. It is very convenient for the North Devon coast and countryside, and only a short drive to Bideford. It balances accessibility with tranquility. Chris and Sally were great hosts. They were available and helpful but also discrete, providing us with privacy and freedom. They were extremely responsive in the period leading up to our stay. The barn is converted very thoughtfully. It is calm, comfortable and well equipped. It is worth being aware that there is no mobile signal (at least not for O2 or Vodafone) which for many I'm sure will be a blessing. The wi-fi is rustically unpredictable! We certainly recommend Little Hoops to anyone looking to get away for a peaceful break.”
The Barn at Port Farm is a unique and generous studio space. Originally a threshing barn, but recently converted by the owners into a modern space which respectfully retains the character and proportions of the original barn. The eclectic mix of quirky, vintage objects and art give the Barn its unique character. A perfect hideaway for couples looking for something a little out of the ordinary.
“Excellent location, just a few minutes outside Bideford yet feeling quiet and peaceful, as though we were miles from civilisation. The barn is just as described and shown in the photographs. It has a comfortable, cosy feel to it as soon as you walk through the door. Lucy was there to greet us, showed us round and explained how the wood burner worked. There plenty of logs and firelighters. Super comfy bed and sofas with throws, a very well equipped kitchen with large cupboard space, large garden and field for our dog to stretch her legs - it was all pretty perfect!”
Relax in a comfortable, compact and entirely private en-suite annex room for a single person, away from the main residence, cosy & warm in winter, light & airy in summer. Crockery/cutlery, kettle, toaster, small fridge, reading matter, TV, wi-fi, small iron & tabletop ironing board in situ. Complimentary wine on arrival.
“Lovely, quiet space - ideal for one. Lots of little extras which really help you feel at home such a breakfast and fresh fruit. Very welcoming and helpful. Mobile phone reception a bit hit and miss which isn’t unusual for this part of Devon. Would happily stay and again and would recommend to others.”
