The space

A garden dotted with flowering shrubs and vines forms the backdrop to the villa’s sunny terraces. For those who want to bask, there are plenty of lounge chairs looking out to sea; for those who want a bit of shade, there are pergola-covered sitting and dining areas, and a curved pool. An outdoor kitchen with a barbecue lets you dine like the locals on fresh seafood, and the house’s Wi-Fi lets you share photos of your trip with friends back home.

The bright, open-plan interiors of Witt are a beautiful mix of traditional influences and modern style. Whitewashed walls and beamed ceilings in the living room let light bounce around the space, a stone wall in the dining area is a nod to the island’s historic architecture and tile floors throughout are a cool respite if you’ve been on the hot sands of the beach all day. Slipcovered sofas and a built-in banquette in the dining area are quietly inviting, and there’s an equally welcoming breakfast bar in the fully equipped kitchen.

The mix of old and new continues in the villa’s five bedrooms, with whitewashed walls, pretty quilts on the beds and the occasional geometric side table for a bit of edge. There are two bedrooms with double bed and en-suite bathrooms, including the master suite, two bedrooms with double beds and shared bathrooms, and one bedroom with two twin beds and a shared bathroom.

While Witt is the perfect private haven to escape from it all, it’s well worth exploring the island of Paros during your holiday. Discover a favorite cove at Kolimbithres Beach, 2.5 km away, join the couples on honeymoon for a romantic dinner at an oceanfront restaurant in Naoussa, 2.5 km away, or revel in the traditional cobbled streets and lively nightlife in Parikia, 8 km away. When it’s time to leave, you can catch a ferry back to the Greek mainland or take a flight from Paros National Airport, 18 km away.
