Beachfront vacation rentals in Mackinaw City

Had a wonderful stay with plenty of room for our group of 6 couples. Lots of space to accommodate everyone. Plenty of parking. Troy was very quick to respond with any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

A perfect fall getaway! It was so peaceful and beautiful. Loved the sound of the waves. The window porch was the perfect place to read a book… or even just zone out to the lovely surroundings and sounds.

We had an amazing family vacation at the “Beach House”. My family loved this area on Long Lake. The beach is very private , and we used it everyday. The beach also has a small fire pit, with a larger fire area up by the cabin. It’s a 16 minute drive into Cheboygan. Where their are many shops, and Restaurants. Cheboygan also has a beautiful trail system, with the Trail Head right in town. Our daughter ran on this trail at least three times while we were here. Makinaw City, and the Makinaw Bridge, are only 30-35 minute’s away.

We had such a great time staying at Ken’s place! The only thing that would have made this trip better is if the skies were clear during the days we stayed so we could have fully enjoyed the amazing view of the sunset and stars that the property offers! Our dogs loved staying here as well and they had lots of room to run around and play freely. Our time here was so peaceful and such a nice getaway and we can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing great local recommendations. The location was perfect—quiet yet close to everything. We would definitely stay here again. This was our first repeat Airbnb experience, we enjoyed Laurie’s place that much! It’s peaceful and the lake is lovely, no matter the time of year. Close to Short’s brewing and Schuss mountain, not far from Boyne, it’s quiet but still well located to have a great up north adventure. It’s also well stocked with toys and books, which is a great plus for our family! And Laurie is super responsive and kind. We might stay a third time!

Absolutely beautiful area, and the house was perfect for my family and our dog! Squeaky clean, wonderfully well-kept, peaceful surroundings, and great location to reach the upper and lower peninsula. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at Lindsay’s property. Everything was very clean and nicely furnished. With 2 children this was a perfect location to ski in and ski out. The space is very small, it is a studio, not a 1-bedroom condo, there is a huge, comfy king bed and a very good pull out sofa bed, but they are pretty tightly packed into the space. The owners provided games and books which was a nice touch. The bedding and the towels were beautifully soft and clean. The kitchen cabinets are very high up, we needed a step stool to get to any pots, pans and cups. This was available, we didn’t make a big dea out of it, we made it work, and really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this stay and definitely come again.

Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful view of the bay right on the beach. The space is very comfortable, well furnished and nicely decorated.

Great condo - even brighter, cheerier, and roomier than pictured! Condo was clean, beds were comfortable, lots of linens and beach towels, games, well stocked kitchen.... and the view of the lake is fantastic! There were no neighbors when we were there so it was very quiet. Just minutes to Nub's Nob and the Highlands. Lots of choices for restaurants near by and good grocery store nearby. Host was ultra available and accommodating with lots of instructional / helpful signage throughout the condo, lots of extras!!! Thanks for a great stay! Looking forward to going back!!

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! It was conveniently located. Rick was very responsive and had very clear instructions for us. It was also very clean and tidy!!! I would recommend this to others, and hope to be back sometime. Thank you Rick!!!

Can't say enough good things about our stay and hosts. The only thing that would prevent me from coming back is buying a place of my own in the same complex! Roger and Mary were proactive and responsive from pre-booking through our stay. I am a clean freak, to say the least, and found the condo in great shape. We took full advantage of the kitchen and every utensil, plate, and cookware I took out was perfectly clean. We had two families stay - 4 adults and 4 kids - and everyone was comfortable with plenty of space. Roger and Mary saw we were bringing real little ones, and left out pristinely clean crib and pack & play, sheets included. We stayed during winter, and enjoyed all that was nearby! Nubs Nob just 10 minutes drive. We got to XC Ski right out the condo door into the neighboring nature preserve trails and along Lake Michigan. The condo complex indoor pool was great afternoon entertainment. Everything matched the description, so it was easy to plan. Thank you!

Walk out basement to the few steps to get to the beach area. Well stocked kitchen. Recommend bringing your own water if desired ( well water I believe) . Beautiful sunsets. Game room was fun .. bring quarters to play though . Highly recommend

Bridget's place was spotless clean and the condo has a great view of Lake Huron. Check-in was easy and property manager Carol was very responsive to our questions. Bathrooms were thoughtfully stocked with toiletries that made our stay easy. Will definitely stay there again!

We absolutely love staying here! The house is very clean and has all of the amenities of home. The beach is beautiful and you can’t beat the sunrises! This was our second time staying here and we’ll be back next year!

Great place for our family get together. Lots of open space, had everything we needed for our group of 7. Made breakfast, lunch and everyone a nice dinner. Plenty of supplies. The AGA stove is pretty unique and fun to learn about. View is amazing and beach is great to explore. Literally no reason to leave once you are there! Nikki was amazing and helpful with suggestions and explanations. One of my group already wants to come back. Thank you!

Our recent stay at Kari's cottage on Lake Michigan was so peaceful and rejuvenating that it felt like a lot longer than two days. Kari was incredibly welcoming and ensured that every need was met, making the stay even more enjoyable. This was an outstanding cottage for a winter getaway for our family! It was a great location close to multiple ski resorts and downtown Gaylord. We enjoyed getting to ski, tube, horseback ride, and play in the snow outside of the cottage. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and everything was clean and cozy! It was perfect for what we were looking for. Dawn was an excellent communicator and didn’t hesitate to give us recommendations in the area and check in to make sure all is well. When we got snow overnight, there was even someone to shuffle and plow immediately in the morning. We would absolutely come back!

Trestin was an outstanding host. He was knowledgeable about the activity our vacation was built around, and gave us perfect tips for timing, parking, and planning. When our vacation took an unexpected and unfortunate turn right at the end, he extended his hand to offer help was able to assist us in figuring out what needed to be done. We would reserve with him again upon our next visit.

The host was so friendly, the views were beyond stunning. And I found a petoskey!! I wish I had never left!

I grew up in the 70's going to this cabin. My great uncle built it. My siblings and i were thrilled to see that it was an airbnb now. A lot has changed since we were up there last (1978), but it was so fun to reminisce and walk around our old stomping grounds. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Our stay was beyond perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful and private. We enjoyed the views of the lake, and the wildlife. Having the kayaks available was an added plus. We highly recommend this location and this cottage. We will be back next year. Thank you Gary, for everything.
