Our private guesthouse is suspended over the Torio River, on the west coast of the Azuero Peninsula. It is a paradise waiting for hikers, bird watchers and hikers dream. We offer numerous marked trails and a beautiful waterfall. We are walking distance to the beach and a 1/2 kilometer from restaurants, a grocery, and the main highway. Surfers are close to Morrillo Beach and Playa Reina. You can watch the sun rise over the mountains and view the ever changing river from your bed.
“My husband and I stayed for two weeks at Patricia and Bob’s cabana. It was absolutely fantastic! The view from the balcony is lush, private and like none other. It is simply beautiful. The cabana itself is pristine and very clean, a perfect size with a large balcony lovely for a climate where you want to be outdoors as much as possible. Our hosts were very helpful and generous. They have lots of information and tips for staying in the area. It’s no wonder Patricia and Bob are super hosts! We enjoyed cooking at the cabana as well as meals at the restaurants at the Torio Plaza, the trails literally steps from the cabana and quiet beaches where it’s not uncommon to see very few people. Heaven! We’re hoping that you’ll have us back again next year!”
Tastefully furnished studio (25 m2) with Queensize-bed, kitchenette, modern bathroom and private deck (6 m2), AC and fan. Private shady parking close to the house. The cabaña is built in a hill and offers sea view with spectacular sunsets. Large, 13 m long lap pool. 3 gorgeous beaches are within easy walking distance one of which is Playa Morrillo, the highlight for every passionate surfer. Many more outdoor activities in the area.
“The cabaña of Gisela and Guido is surrounded by greenery, surrounded by unspoilt nature. From the terrace you can see the ocean and enjoy immemorial sunsets while enjoying a good glass of wine. A wonderful and intimate beach is just a five minute walk away because it is for the exclusive use of the area's residents. The whole area is excluded from mass tourism, just a few minutes by car you can find typical places to dine and basic supermarkets within half an hour. The cabaña with air conditioning is new and the space is equipped with everything that can be used for a comfortable stay. A large washer and dryer is also available if needed. The best part is the owners Gisela and Guido who have distinguished themselves for their availability and kindness by helping us even in difficult times (when we were almost out of gas or when my friend needed to iron the dress bride ... they have opened the doors of their home). For a carefree holiday if you stay in this beautiful place you absolutely have to rent an off-road vehicle or a high car. The streets around are devastated !! Who likes to live in total contact with nature, the cabaña of Gisela and Guido is perfect !!!”
Our home is nestled in the serenity of the Panamanian mountains. We have two guest rooms both with attached bathrooms and private entrances. Direct access from your room to the terrace and pool area. Relax with a book from our extensive library or make use of the artists studio. Take a hike to the river which borders our property, swim in the deep pools, dare to cross the suspension bridges or pan for gold. Or, head to the beach, a short, (and beautiful) drive away. Evening meal available.
“I can't say enough good things about this place. Pictures don't do the view justice honesty and my only regret is not having Annie cook every meal we ate! Lots of swimming holes, waterfalls, beaches, and mountains around if you are the adventurous type. It is also very isolated and quiet if you just want to read by the pool with a stunning view. The real pleasure of this place though was getting to know Bob and Annie. Some things to consider: they are replacing the road next year, but for now you definitely need car with good suspension to get there as the roads are rough. Wifi is spotty, but it was a getaway trip for us so I enjoyed disconnecting!”
