We had such a great stay in Crescent Head. The house was peaceful, private and dog-friendly, with a cute verandah perfect for slow mornings. Everything was simple, comfy and thoughtfully set up—with great water pressure and a super cosy bed. The location is ideal. We walked to the point break each morning for coffee and surf watching, hiked Nobby Head for dramatic views, and took our dog for a long run on Killick Beach. The back beach is also stunning, with a scenic headland walk down to a quiet, dog-friendly shore. Sea Seas (the local hotel) is a standout spot—great coffee and a beautiful mid-century Balinese surf vibe. We also loved browsing at Mr Vintage and chatting with friendly locals. This stay was easy, relaxing and full of character. We left feeling refreshed and inspired—already dreaming about our next trip back.

We stayed at Ned’s place for a night on our way up to Byron bay with our toddler and doggie it was a great half way spot from Sydney and easy location close to the main road yet far enough to feel like a country get-away. We were greeted by two lovely doggies and our dog was instantly excited. We also visited the goats and ducks they were very friendly and tame. Our toddler really enjoyed seeing the animals and running around in the farm land. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. Except a high chair. We took our own travel cot but also kindly got offered to borrow one. I would highly recommend this for a night or two if you are looking for a peaceful country stay.

Wow, what a location! Felt like a movie set. So gorgeous, peaceful and the woodwork inside and out was stunning. Even greeted by a couple of small kangaroo foraging early morning in the pasture. A magical place plus the lovely treats left by the kind owners.

We had a lovely stay at Nettie's. A beautiful, tranquil and relaxing place which is well-appointed. The bed is super comfy and Nettie left a generous supply of nibbles and fresh eggs for breakfast. Nettie and her husband are so friendly and helpful and we would gladly stay again. Thoroughly recommend.
