Casa da Silveirinha - Excellent Location

Perched atop a towering cliff, the medieval village of Marvão offers visitors a breathtaking landscape. Entering the village through the Ródão Gates and looking to the right, the visitor comes across Casa da Silveirinha. Framed, on one side, by the cliffs that lead to the Castle and, on the other, by the immensity of the surrounding landscape, the House provides those who rest in it with the feeling of going back in time and becoming the guardian of the entrance to the village.

There is no telephone network in the house, which makes the stay more special, but it does have Wi-Fi. Ideal for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and city stress. Located in Portagem, at the foot of the Marvão mountain range, it is a 3-minute walk from the local pools and a 10 minute drive from the castle. The À-da-MiZé house is the realization of a dream. The name is inspired by our own names - Milita and Zé. Here, in the Alentejo, when you go to someone's house, you say "I'm going to my mother's house," hence the name. It was restored between 2020 and 2021, respecting its standards and identity, with the intention of living (one day later) in the center of a small Alentejan village with a close relationship with the neighbors.

Cozy cottage, inserted in a serene and natural Monte Alentejano with about 4 hectares. In the heart of the Serra de S.Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as Kills, Olive Trees, Carvalhos or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites refreshing baths for its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused water tanks.

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
