Situated in the Northern Alentejo (Castelo de Vide), Casinha da Anta is a cosy, traditional Alentejo house surrounded by idyllic nature. The house is fully equipped with kitchen, large bathroom with double shower and its own outdoor area.
“The tapir's house is charming and is set in a space of spectacular natural beauty. All expectations have been met. The beauty of the place, the friendliness of Rui, who welcomed us very well, with little pampering :) Although it was very cold at night, we did not get cold indoors because the house is equipped with various heating equipment, which makes all the difference in comfort. The house has everything you need for a few days of rest. We recommend 100% the tapir house.”
Starting with the Miramonte Houses there is so much to see, do and taste! From the castle of Marvao, the highest point of the Alentejo, to the ruins of the Roman city of Ammaia; from the bridge and the surroundings of the Sever river, at Portagem, to the Beirã border station; from walking, horse riding or cycling to the itinerary that takes us to numerous megalithic monuments. And the sympathy and simplicity of our people to miss you will have the best kept secret of the Alentejo!
“This lovely gem in Beira has it all...stylish, clean, and convenient for exploring the area. Antonio thoughtfully left treats for us, including pencil crayons and books for the kids, which made everyone feel extra special. Can't say enough about our stay...we'd jump at the opportunity to return here and highly recommend Casas' to others.”
Casa dos Galegos combines traditional architecture with a modern layout. It is located in Galegos, in the Alto Alentejo region of Portugal, in Marvão. It has a salamander for the winter and an outdoor pool for the summer.
“Daniel's cottage was beautifully presented with incredible attention to detail and thoughtful touches, including lovely local olive oil soaps and a welcome basket of food treats and wine. It is a warm and comfortable space for a couple and has a beautiful private outside pool area. Daniel was an incredibly attentive host, both before and during the stay. He was always readily available to communicate with and helped us out with local tips for visits and food recomendations. The cottage is in a quiet rural setting about 5 minutes drive away from the village of Portagem and at the doorstep of historic Marvao. It is also only a couple of kms from the border so you can easily pop over to Spain for evening tapas. Highly recommended.”
