“The place is just super atmospheric. It can be seen that the village is ancient with stone old houses. Angela's house is one of the best in my opinion, if you want something unusual. Being in the courtyard of the house you can feel a little in the Middle Ages. Inside, there are absolutely all the necessary amenities. I recommend everyone to try to live in such a place :)”
Uvablu is a tiny b&b in the silent nature of the Ossola mountains, few minutes away from Domodossola, less than an hour from Switzerland and the nearby Switzerland. An ideal destination for the lovers of trekking, skiing and bikers. You will breathe the air of an ancient rural life.
“Just great! The house in the vineyards had impressed us with its charm. The house and everything around it was prepared with a lot of taste. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The hostess, a beautiful and powerful person, makes every effort to make the stay a pure pleasure. For breakfast there was home-baked bread, lemon cake, homemade bread spreads and a lovingly prepared yogurt, on the beautiful terrace. I think you can tell how excited we were. Also the village and the surroundings are totally authentic :)”
Canova is near the Toce River, just few minutes from Domodossola. The medieval village consists of a dozen of stone houses builded from 1200 to 1700, all restored. The accommodation is an old restored stable, aged 1672, used for the horse change. The village is close to the most important ski resorts of Ossola Valley, Monte Rosa, Premia Spa with hot springs, Toce Waterfall and Lake Maggiore. Domodossola Train Station at 7 Km, Malpensa Airport 45 min.
“The converted stable is situated in a beautiful old village surrounded by tall mountains. near a stream that provides a restful background soundscape. My son and I appreciated the uniqueness of the room and its decor. Paolo was great at providing instructions on how to get to the place and also very prompt in responding to our questions about possible places to eat in the area. There is a restaurant in the town, but it was closed on the night we arrived, so we had to take a short drive down the road, where w had a basic but satisfying meal. All in all this is a place I am happy to recommend to anyone passing through the area and we wished w could have stayed longer to explore more.”
