Monthly Rentals in Matatoki

My 6yo daughter and I had a beautiful stay at The Stolen Oak - Charlie was so friendly and accomodating, we loved the chickens, cows and meeting Leon the friendly dog! The Stolen Oak is so peaceful and private, only a couple minutes drive to the local swimming hole, Thames township and an hour from Coromandel. Everything was so clean and cosy, the energy was so comfortable and it was the most incredibly refreshing and rejuvenating stay in the rural country. We can't wait to stay again soon - we'll definitely be back!

Bonnie's Doon is a lovely cozy nest for anyone looking for some contemplation in my opinion, one that's close to Thames town. Getting up to the stream beside was very refreshing. The stay also allows for a private-like casual walk to the creek and views of the estuary and shore just across the road. The place had everything we could ask for and even a football puzzle and Ice age movie that kept the little boy in our group engaged. Hosts' family made us feel welcome and very accommodating with parking and we all appreciated that the property provided freedom to explore the surroundings with apple and feijoa trees. Our group of five could not have asked for a better place! Although initially hesitant, Rita and Bonnie were eager to connect with each of us. Our Coromandel trip was short but was sweetened by this stay and we'll look to stay again. Thanks a lot to Darryl, Sarah and the entire family for creating such a haven. I'll not forget the old radio and bench overlooking the stream :)

Very helpful and friendly host. Beautiful garden and bathroom (mum loved the heated floor!), comfortable beds, lovely quiet location. Thoughtfully provided extras like breakfast items, milk, fruit and spreads. Thanks Geoff and Prue!

John and his wife were super friendly in welcoming us and it was a lovely stay right on the water!
