After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. A perfect place to relax. Access: 2 1/2 hours by train from Shinjuku by JR(chuo main line). (e.g. Shinjuku 13:00 → Kobuchizawa 15:00 (15:06) → Kiyosato 15:30.
