Loved this stay- hosts were fast to get back to us. Bed was comfy, I will say if you’re not from the area the water (in the town/area) has a mineral smell but it’s normal. Hot tub was great, definitely bring bug spray! I will note they are very spot on about needing 4 wheel drive/ chains when it snows. It’s down poured during most of our trip and got a little slippy getting back up. All and all it’s a great stay. There was plenty for kids to do, they had a cute basket of doggie blankets, bed was comfy, great size kitchen and dining space, they even had a pack and play!

This house was a phenomenal stay for my wedding weekend. I love old southern houses and this place blew me away. Katie was very accommodating and responsive.

This was our first trip as a family of 3. We took our 5 month old to this place and it was fantastic. It was peaceful and quite by the lake and the hot tub was great relaxing time. The management company was responsive throughout our entire stay. Location was great as it was located just a short drive to locate wineries/breweries/restaurants. We really enjoyed out 3 night 4 day stay out in nature!

nice and quite, but if you bringing teenagers wifi is needed, it would definitely need more that quite place to entertain them. other than is a beautiful place to stay away from noise and crowds

The chalet was a perfect home base for our stay in the valley over a birthday weekend. Derek gave us clear instructions ahead of time, we had no trouble getting in. We were able to just crash and watch TV the first night in front of the electric fireplace. Second night we hit the hot tub which we needed after a long hike. We found good restaurants in Front Royal and Luray (Osteria Maria, Chop House Bistro) and for coffee in the morning Broad Porch. Check out was also easy, we just needed to strip the beds and take out the trash. And of course we loved being able to bring our doggo. My fiancee had previously been hosted by Derek and we would definitely stay here again.

The place was super cute and clean! Not only are the surroundings absolutely gorgeous, there was a place to sit and enjoy it. The hot tub was a small walk and felt really private. The robes were such a nice touch! Close enough to restaurants, wineries, and Charlottesville without feeling like you’re staying in the city. I would definitely stay here again if I was coming to the area!

The only part of the stay that didn't get 5 stars was that it wasn't quite as secluded as I'd hoped for. There are a number of homes on the road to the cabin, and a thin line of trees breaks the view. Admittedly unless you're looking for the other houses you don't notice them, so I got past that quickly enough. That said, the cabin was perfect, clean, cozy and everything worked as stated. Having grown up in the country, but living in a city now, I felt the stress melt away as soon as I stepped into the massive yard where my son and I spent a lot of time playing soccer and other sports. My son and wife really enjoyed the hot tub. The location is 15 minutes away from Luray which meant that the stars were amazing for the brief break in the clouds we got, but that it was close enough to get groceries and take out as needed. Plus it's about 20 minutes away from Front Royal so there are places to go and enjoy like Skyline or Luray Caverns. Jackie was a great and responsive host!

Cozy and quiet in the beautiful countryside. The house was comfortable and filled with nice amenities. We truly enjoyed our stay.

I’ve been in some more rustic conditions with Airbnb lately, but this house was clean and in good condition overall. It was right by the water and just perfect for what we needed.

The yurt was great! Right by the water, close to breweries and a meadery (!), and a great setup for a campfire.

Great home. Very private and plenty of space. Walking distance (via a fire road) to Shenandoah National Park and the Appalachian Trail. Plenty of nice touches to keep adults and kids feeling at home. Excellent value for the price.

Our family had the best time here! Loved the yurt! There is a creek across the street that the children played in, we fished in the pond, played baseball in the meadow, had a campfire under the stars. The beds were super comfortable, we enjoyed the privacy and the beauty of the area. We hope to go back and stay longer next time! Well appointed kitchen, super clean home, responsive host, beautiful views through the many windows, private stay yet close to activities. It’s a gem, for sure!

Cute little cabin with a HUGE deck, large soaking tub, and wonderful natural light. The kitchen has everything you need, the fire pit is great, and the home has a comfy feel. We really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts are wonderful and the communication was exceptional! We would definitely stay here again!

This is a super unique and private getaway. Beautiful nature all around, and very private accommodations. The owner even had some food and coffee stocked and left a note saying to help ourselves. I would note (and this is in the listing), the yurt has not central AC, so I don't know if I would want to stay here in peak Virginia summer.

A Hidden Gem—Peaceful, Scenic, and Absolutely Stunning! Our stay at this cabin was nothing short of magical. The property is incredibly quiet and peaceful, with charm in every direction. Some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen greeted us each morning—especially where the two rivers gently converge right in front of the cabin. It’s truly nature at its finest. The yard is full of majestic trees—so massive that even with four of us linking arms, we couldn’t reach around their trunks! The rivers were calm and welcoming, with a gentle current that made swimming both easy and refreshing. If you're looking for a serene escape with unmatched natural beauty, this is the place. We’re already dreaming about coming back!

We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

The cabin was perfect for staying with our two kids. The playrooms and well stocked kitchen and rooms made it easy to keep them entertained and relax in the mountains. Thank you for your hospitality!

Nice and cozy finished studio apartment above a garage. Nice amenities, clean place and quiet location. Stayed one night this time; stayed several nights a year ago. Would recommend this place for anyone needing a short stay in thr area.

San was a great host. Quick to answer questions and a great help whenever we needed him!!

Comfortable beds, super clean hot tub and such a nice place to spend spring break. Excellent communication and very pleasant hosts. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.
