Refreshing and green, come to the Hokkaido countryside in the summer!

Junko was a particularly caring host. She picked me up from the train station the first day and the following days when the snow could be plentiful. Despite my shortcomings in Japanese, she is very communicative and was able to speak to me easily in English when communication was difficult in her native language for me. The location is quiet and beautiful, and the place is nice. I thank Junko for his attention to me and I had a very nice stay in Hokkaido thanks to this welcome.

NORD 2 − Manji Village −

Peaceful surroundings, convenient house with a fully equipped kitchen. Extremely sweet hosts! They warned us they don’t speak English, but they were so fun and easy to communicate with:) They’ve assisted us, super patiently, with connecting our Japanese car reservation and followed up to make sure everything went smoothly. They also had great recommendations around. The place is not new so some things don’t look squeaky clean, but it definitely feels like they are doing the very best to make it a home during your stay. Sheets and towels very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

R-02 [5-minute walk from Akahira Station] Single room in a coal mining town (Room 2)

This is my second time staying at Kana's and that's for good reason! Akabira is a small place it's true, but it's a small place with a lot of heart. You'll have many genuine and great interactions if you come here. Kana is also very kind and worth spending time with if you get the chance. Small places are always special, people are much more eager to meet you and get to know you. You'll have a lot more unique adventures than you would in a big city, people aren't focused on just getting tourism money from you. It's worth trying a small place in Japan and Akabira is the perfect place to try due to its convenient location near many other places worth visiting!
