Family-friendly vacation rentals in Monroe Lake

We had a wonderful visit. Place is in a beautiful location. Peaceful!

The Boulders Lodge worked out perfectly for our mountain biking trip to Brown County. The lodge had ample space for 7 of us. The two kitchens had everything, the beds and bedrooms give everyone the space they needed. The drive to Brown County State park was 15 minutes.

Beautiful and cozy home. Loved being able to use the hot tub and pool table. Having the lake in the back was an added bonus. Less than 2 miles from downtown Nashville.

We stayed at Sycamore Hill as part of a work trip and it was an excellent alternative to staying at a hotel. The home is set on a hill with beautiful view while the home itself was spotless and extremely comfortable. At the end of a long day of work, coming in the door felt like coming home. Mike was an excellent and communicative host, giving us advice on local things to do and generally was an extremely interesting fellow with many stories to tell. I look forward to staying at Sycamore Hill again when we are back in the area.

The house was perfect for our large group, lots of sleeping accommodations and host was very responsible to a few minor issues.

My mom, my sisters and I have a great girl's weekend at Robert and Tom's. The house was extremely clean, the environment was relaxing, the hot tub was great and we had plenty of space. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect for a large gathering - lots of room. Neighborhood is very nice with a park nearby and walking trails. The house itself is in need of some sprucing up (eg moldy dead leaves covering the glass ceiling of the sun room, missing baseboards, cabinet doors in disrepair). However the bedrooms had good mattresses and ok furniture. We did have to laugh that “no parties” are allowed when the house seems set up for a rager (LOTS of beds everywhere in kind of odd places even in the garage/billiards room and in the dining area off kitchen!), 26 chairs on the back deck and 2 blenders! All in all perfect for a casual large group stay. Host is super responsive!

This place was perfect for our IU football weekend activities. It was close to the campus, stadium and many restaurants and the college mall area. We will definitely stay there again!!!

Great place, super comfy and clean. Loved the extra treats from Hopscotch and Cardinal Spirits (Thank you!!). Loved the Lil Bub pics. Really nice host and everything was easy like check-in and as described. Would definitely recommend to friends and would stay again.

Our stay here was wonderful! This is a hidden gem in Bloomington, a cute little quiet neighborhood-feel.

The property was absolutely beautiful! Came for a wedding that was close by and enjoyed a wonderful night around one of the two fire pits. Wish we had more time in the morning to explore more of the property. Our dog really enjoyed the expansive forest. Alexandra was amazing and super communicative with anything we could have needed. Can’t wait to come back!

I enjoyed my stay there. At Michael’s very nice small downstairs unit. Private, and peaceful, very cozy. You can hear the upstairs move around every so often. Im pretty laid back it didn’t bother me. I hope I wasn’t loud or possibly bothered them. I hung out watched world poker tour and ordered a pizza me. my buddy and I hung out played bluegrass for an hour or two. I fell asleep was so cozy I slept in through my alarm. They were completely understanding. I hope I didn’t cause any fees with the cleaners. Cheaper than a hotel room. We had a great stay and I would book here again. Super cute 2 bedroom, clean and spacious with comfortable beds.

My fiancé and I stayed one night at Ian’s place while we were in town for a concert. Ian’s instructions were very clear, and check in and check out were very easy. Ian’s place is even nicer than pictured! The decor is striking and very artsy in the best way. I really appreciated how Ian invites guests to partake in the artwork that is this Airbnb. There are also a lot of little details that show that Ian has thought of everything including a fire blanket in the kitchen and a first aid kit in the bathroom. There are plenty of towels in the bathroom and the water pressure in the shower was good. Note that the bed is a full, so it was a bit of a squeeze even for two skinny people. If you’re over 6 feet tall it’ll also be too short for you. However, for a one night visit this was not a deal breaker for us. The area around the Airbnb is very safe and walkable. Bloomington is not a large town, so everything was near by. We highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

This is a repeat stay for us. We love staying at the Overlook for our family get togethers. Plenty of room, enough supplies for guests staying and large gathering areas. Lots to do in the area as well. Paula is an awesome hosts and quick to reply and very accommodating making our stay always delightful.
