Historic 1880 Settler Cabin, Merryweather Farm

Merryweather Farm is a peaceful place on the open prairie. We raise organic garlic, apples, orchard pork, free-range chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and charming, lovable dogs and cats. Our goal is to provide a true pioneer experience with just a bit of comfort added. 1880 Norwegian Settlers Cabin is not modernized, attached barn has been rebuilt into uninsulated screen porch. Cabin has great old iron bed, loft has twin bed, screened in porch has day bed. Private modern bath included.

The Summer Kitchen

The Summer Kitchen is a restored building on our historic farm place. This open-concept space has a kitchen with a gas stove, and bottled water. 2 Beds are upstairs in a loft area. We are a real farm, no curtains on windows here! Nestled along the edge of the farm yard with a wooded area & trail. Propane-heated shower, and boat toilet. A farm experience can allow guests to help feed animals, gather eggs, or work in the garden, please ask. Deck/Firepit/seating with firewood nearby.

The perfect solution for cabin fever! This romantic & private log cabin overlooks beautiful Diamond lake. Two queen size beds, one is adjustable w/massage. Hand-hewn rock gas fireplace, massage chair, fully stocked modern kitchen, wifi, YouTube TV (local channels & espn) & streaming. Enjoy the gazebo & hot tub next to the cabin throughout the seasons. I live across the street & clean and sanitize, so I know it is done properly. Note: Optional (additional charge) game room available.

Situated on a big corner lot with ample parking right outside the front door and a street light shining onto the parking area makes this property very easy to access and safe. This is no ordinary "garage," and it will amaze you!

Your family will be close to the activities that make this destination so desirable. The boat landing, public beach, several popular restaurants with outdoor seating, all within walking distance. Rain can’t dampen your stay here! There are games to be played, movies here or at our local theater, bowling, fabulous shopping and a brewery in nearby New London.. This has been a wonderful undertaking, preparing my rental house into an Airbnb. I saw lots of potential and need for guests to be able to have a clean, comfortable and super private, spacious living space for their stay while out and about on whatever they might be doing, whether it be visiting with family, out hunting, or on their road trip just exploring what Western Minnesota has to offer!

Adorable one bedroom cottage with an additional full-size sofa sleeper. Year-round rental house located on the inside of the peninsula. Because the Cozy Cottage is located on the inside of peninsula, there is no direct access to the lake; however, there is a public dock and lake access approximately two blocks away. Big Stone Lake has something for everyone.
