“We stayed with my wife for two nights at the very beginning of October. Wonderful place! The city is very original. You can see how ordinary people live. Near the national mountain park with many hiking trails (Mount Kamarat). In the city center, the roads are narrow, only small cars will pass. Lisa and Salvatore are very hospitable. Provided detailed information about the area (where to eat, where to buy local products, attractions). Housing is located in a guest house, next to their house, on a hill. There is silence and a great view from the window. The kitchen and toilet are small, but enough to cook and feel comfortable. The hosts met a light dinner with local cheese and wine. Great place, recommended!)”

“This is the second time I have the pleasure of staying at Maria's space. Like the first time, everything went well. The place is still beautiful, cozy and comfortable. I only have compliments and good recommendations. Maria is an extremely helpful and kind hostess and I consider her a very dear friend. As I am passionate about Sicily and especially Castronovo, I highly recommend you to know the city, as it is a Sicilian jewel that deserves to be visited and known. I am very grateful to Maria for having received me again and hope to be able to return.”
Our little house is in the middle of the countryside, not far from the town of San Giovanni Gemini. It is ideally located for those who are traveling the mid-western part of the Sicilian island. In this area, you can hike in the beautiful “Cammarata Mountain Natural Reserve”. The place is only 20km from the Andromeda Theatre and the Hermitage of Saint Rosalia, 45 km from the Greek Temples of Agrigento, 40 km from Farm Cultural Park in Favara e Sant’Angelo Muxaro.
“I very much wanted 3 nights of quiet and tranquility in the woods and Gloria's cabin exceeded my expectations. Such a well-stocked kitchen, more gadgets than I have at home! It was fun to cook there. And the outdoor shower was fantastic. Her pillows are the best I've experienced during my entire time in Sicily! And the outdoor space... so very wonderful. I never left for 4 days! Someone mentioned the bed being upstairs. Yes, this is true, and it's an A-frame, so if you're not use to camping, you might bump your head. I spent 2 nights up there very comfortably. On the third night, knowing I would be drinking tea late into the evening (and would need the bathroom in the night), I moved the sheets downstairs. The couch is easy enough to set up as a bed and just as comfortable. Gloria was really lovely and checked on my repeatedly to see if there was anything I needed. Oh! and she left me such a lovely breakfast, which was completely unexpected! Truly, I hope to return to Sicily and when I do and when I need some "time in the woods," I would jump at returning to Casetta Pizziddu!”
