The Chalet at Maple Grove, Hogsback

The Chalet has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with bath and one with shower. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven/hob and microwave. TV and Fireplace. French doors lead onto patio with private garden, barbecue and Gazebo. Sleeps 4. For those guests requiring more accommodation we have The Cottage at Maple Grove which sheeps 2 (can also accommodate two children on stackbeds), and The Cabin at Maple Grove which sleeps 2. Ideal for an extended family booking of up to 10 guests.

Stoneyvale Cottage 1, Fort Governor's Estate

Our cottages are located within the 12,000ha Fort Governor's Estate just outside Grahamstown. With fantastic views out to the reserve from the privacy of your own deck, you can enjoy a romantic retreat or a relaxed getaway with a group of friends. So sit back, cool off in the pool, dig your toes into the sea sand of our boma, pour a drink and relax around a roaring fire. PLEASE NOTE : Access to all our lodges is via a farm dirt road. We are a working farm so road conditions are variable.

Wedmore Place

Wedmore Place offers free WiFi, air conditioning and fully solar powered. Featuring free parking, the apartment is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking and cycling. It is a perfect place for couples seeking a relaxing and romantic weekend, a family or friendship getaway or a place to work (wifi reception is good and there is a large worktable).

Katberg House 101

A lovely 4 bedroom home situated in the beautiful Katberg Eco Golf Estate. Set on a spectacular 400-hectare estate high in the Winterberg Mountains. This tranquil mountain retreat offers an 18 hole championship golf course, superb club house and pool in a secure, secluded estate. The home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus an outside bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Enjoy mountain views while sitting around a lovely big fire pit surrounded by nature.

The Cabin

Suitable for a single person or a couple. It is equipped for self-catering, and consists of one open-plan room with a double bed, a kitchenette and an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a heater, not a fire-place. The cabin has a wooden deck and is in a peaceful and pretty garden setting. It is a few meters away from The Bluff walk, a 3km circular path with lovely views. The Edge restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk from the cabin.

Shire Eco Lodge

The Shire will captivate you with its innovative design and magnificent setting. These luxury chalets rest on the edge of the indigenous Xholora forest in the Amatola Mountains, just a stream’s hop from the enchanted home of many rare species of plants, birds and butterflies. Our guest cottages are located in a private garden of mature indigenous and exotic trees. These self-catering units consist of three cottages (Yellowwood, Copper Beech and Magnolia) under a single roof. Each cottage is self-contained with separate entrances and entertainment decks designed to ensure your privacy and comfort, and sleeps a maximum of 4 guests in 2 bedrooms.
