The apartment is well located (10-15 mins from the train station) and it has everything you need ! I was lucky to be able to spend the last 3 months in this real treasure, a very quiet neighborhood but also not so far from the center. Even though alphen aan den rijn is a small city, there’s still a lot cool activities available, like a bird park, a cinema, a bowling alley and many more. I will definitely come back there as soon as I can ! Jose was available at all times and made me feel very welcome. If you love bright and spacious home you should definitely come there because it’s a gem !

Our stay here was wonderful. Sylvia was a very attentive and helpful host, taking time to help us to find the best birding spots. The place is tastefully decorated and very practical, down to the insect screens on the windows and the bathroom right next to the bed (no stairs at night!). The kitchen has everything you need to cook. We could reach the tulip fields, the Hortus Botanicus in Leiden, the North Sea coast, and the Girl with a Pearl Earring in the Mauritshuis in Den Haag, each in under an hours drive, and the area itself was lovely for biking and walking. A true gem!

Christiaan and Annabelle were really nice hosts! I felt welcome and you could tell that they are experienced in welcoming long stayers. I felt home instantly, all tools and kitchen equipments were there and not once did I think I was missing something. As an expat moving in the country, the place is really perfect and they made my installation in the country much smoother.
