From Edo to Meiji period, Kuroshima prospered as a town of the Kitamae shipowners and preserved a sense of unity and tranquility in its landscape, till the day. On New Year's Day, 2024, the landscape of the coastline was drastically changed by a tectonic movement once every several thousand years, and the earthquake caused extensive damage to the village. We hope you will rediscover the mysterious cultural charm and the beauty of the rugged Noto natural landscape newly created by the earth.

Located in the Kazuemachi Chaya district, which is designated as a national Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Built in 1898, this Machiya house retains its quaintness and is decorated in a modern style, mixing interiors from various nationalities and eras. "Kazuemachi" is a quiet town, not crowded with tourists. Please relax in the calming atmosphere of the traditional Japanese room, unwind in the authentic ‘hinoki’ wood bathtub made of fragrant cypress.

Natural hot spring in a cottage with cypress bath

"Hinoki no ie" is a wooden house surrounded by the nature of the Noto area. It's located right in-between of Kanazawa and Oku-Noto and it's about an hour by car from both, making it convenient for sightseeing. You can relax in the living room, the Japanese-style room or the cozy open space. The bath is made of hinoki, Japanese cypress. When you step into the bathroom your whole body is enveloped in the scent of the wood. The sea is also very close.

BY THE SEA（バイザシー能登）へようこそ。 BY THE SEA NOTO は能登半島の能登町にある素泊まりのみ小さなゲストハウスです。1日１組様限定でお部屋をお貸ししています。海の見える時間をたっぷり楽しんでください。 お部屋は3部屋あります。全て海の見える１０畳間が３つで最大6名様までお泊まりいただけます。2021年12月総檜のお風呂が完成しました。合わせてご要望の多かったミニキッチンもできました。朝ごはんぐらいならお料理できます。 長期滞在の場合お掃除は3日目から3日ごとに行います。 ゲストハウスの前には国道249号線があり復興のための車などが通っていますし、海もすぐそばです。もっと静かに休まれたい場合は「能登の海を独り占め。別荘のように滞在できる甲の宿」も系列会社が運営しています。ぜひご利用ください

Showa retro stylish room in Toyama Himi

Toyama Himi area, nearby fish market! The building is located on Showa retro style shopping street with nice sea view. You can see Himinoe Bridge and five-story pagoda from our BNB directly. And you even can see Toyama bay from top floor on sunny day. BNB is at 3rd floor without elevator. Small pet can stay here with extra charge but need to stay in the cage.
