A private, nature-embracing inn overlooking the World Heritage Site, Chūson-ji Temple.Chūson-ji Temple is about a 5-minute drive away. 🌾 This is a place where you can experience the traditional Japanese landscape, which the traveller Marco Polo described to the world as the “golden country Cipangu.”In front of the house stretches a landscape of rice fields that has remained largely unchanged since the Edo period, and on the hillside, you can see the buildings of Chūson-ji Temple, a World Heritage Site.In the distance, the mountains of the Ou Mountains stretch out.A site of approximately 2,400 square metres.We have rebuilt a traditional house with a 150-year history, and the building covers approximately 165 square metres.We offer luxury hotel–style interiors and amenities that blend traditional Japanese beauty with modern comfort. One of the attractions is the starry sky at night and the time spent enveloped in deep tranquillity. You can also enjoy a stay experience unique to this region. We offer world-renowned OIGEN southern ironware (cast-iron pots and skillets).The opportunity to enjoy Maesawa beef, sourced from the nearby region, while surrounded by the seasonal countryside scenery is a luxury that can only be experienced here. A 125-year-old farmhouse renovated with traditional construction methods. Surrounded by vineyards and rice fields at the foot of Mt. Hayachine, one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains. We accept reservations for one group per day. The maximum number of people who can stay here is 10 people. It is often used as a base for Tohoku trips by classmates, company colleagues, and multiple families. Please relax in the spacious space. Of course, even one person can stay privately. Please let us know by message at the time of booking, as children under 12 years old will be charged a reduced rate of 3,300 yen (tax included) per person per day. We will change the amount after the discount. In addition, as a discount for consecutive nights, guests who stay 3 nights or more at the adult rate will receive a discount of 500 yen per person per day from the 3rd night. A private rental accommodation has been born in Hiraizumi, a World Heritage Site, limited to one group per day. Based on a Japanese house built over 150 years ago, we renovated it to make it feel comfortable while maintaining its charm. You'll feel a sense of nostalgia, as if you've returned to the countryside. We have prepared traditional crafts that represent Iwate, such as Nanbu ironware, which you can use freely in the building. You can experience the history and traditions of the Hiraizumi area with all five senses, such as drinking hot water from Nanbu ironware, eating food from Suehiro lacquerware, and wearing hand-dyed work clothes from a Kyoto dyeworks. There are rice terraces and forests around the facility, and you can see Mt. Sukawa (Kurikoma) and the Yakeishi Mountains in the distance.

Origin of Kumo Lodge ☁ ️ On the way here, you may see a glimpse of a sea of clouds spreading over the lake. The scenery is so fantastic and mysterious - my heart trembled with excitement, and I named it "Kumo (Cloud) Lodge" to convey that emotion.

The upper reaches of the Kitakami River flow nearby, and depending on the season, you can fish for masu trout and char.
