Lake house vacation rentals in Old Forge

This is a very nice Adirondack camp, with beautiful Long Lake right in the backyard. The house was very well equipped and clean. We found everything we needed. Large windows offer a great view of Long lake. Our host was very responsive. One thing to know is that if you are staying in this house in cold weather you may hear mice in the attic, but this is not unusual in Adirondack camps such as this one. Overall, we recommend this house on beautiful Long Lake to anybody looking to stay in the area.

Great comfortable space. The kitchen was well stocked and the house has flexible spaces for various activities. Deborah was quick to respond to questions and flexible to accommodate the weather change. It was a great option for our family of 4 to spend a winter weekend!

The home was amazing. Waterfront view. Close to the snowmobile trails . Very well appointment. All we expectedd and more. We had a minor issue with the front door lock and emailed the owner. They responded immediately and offered assistance..

Sweet Adeline Lakehouse has everything! We were looking for a peaceful stay to admire the fall foliage and get away from our high-pressure jobs for a week. This well-appointed lake house met all our needs, with an elevated deck, private dock, kayaks, a fully stocked kitchen, and great location near tons of hikes, breweries, and sleepy country backroads. We enjoyed the sunset over the lake, hiked up a mountain for amazing views, and were able to see a comet! The hosts provided excellent instructions and were highly responsive. Cannot recommend this place enough!

We stayed for a weekend with 4 families of 4 (8 adults, 8 kids) and had a great time in the space. Plenty of common area to hang out, and enough bedrooms. Beautiful view of the lake. Would love to stay here and reconnect with friends again!

Had a wonderful time here while skiing at Gore Mountain over a long weekend.

The entire area is absolutely beautiful. The patio and living room areas were amazing for board games and cards. We were always happy to come back to the place at the end of our festivities.

This was our fifth year coming up to Camp David. I don't even look for another place because we know that this is our "home away from home" for a few super relaxing days. Everything you need is there. Very quiet and private. Always a great escape here. And Mike is extremely responsive and accommodating. Can't wait until next year.

The home was great, water access was down the road. I thought it was closer. but still a great place to stay

Staying at Brandon and Corey's place was like the definition of the best AirBnB can be. The house is cozy and beautiful, and we found it totally decorated for the Christmas season and perfect for our party of 6. It's the level of thoughtfulness that made our stay special. 'Emergency' amenities laid out in the bedroom just in case; a kitchen that is very well equipped, well-designed and highly functional; coffee supplies laid out and ready for the morning; a binder of local recommendations, etc. etc. Brandon's communications were also fantastic. He reached out proactively to ensure we had everything we needed and set a very relaxed and welcoming tone. It is no mystery why he and Corey are super hosts! Thank you, Brandon and Corey, for setting the bar for what other properties/owners can be!!

This was our second time staying at the twin cottages and we were so happy to be back there again. The cottage is clean and so cozy. Our children who leave near by are able to stop in and visit us. We always enjoy staying at the twin cottages. Thanks again for a great visit.

We had an amazing stay! Gorgeous view, close to town, but far enough away to still feel like you are removed from it! Ryan was flexible & accommodating! It’s difficult to find a space that is accommodating to a large group. We can’t wait to go back!

Our stay at Grants Island was just what we needed for a little family getaway! The weather complied, the lake and views from the dock were amazing. The use of the pontoon made for good fishing but even better fishing right off the dock! John was more than accommodating with our needs and communication was easy. The cabin fit 5 of us just fine and everyone enjoyed themselves. The local restaurant had great food and drinks!

We booked this cabin for a girls weekend getaway. It was lovely. The cabin is clean and well laid out. The kitchen area was actually a bit bigger than it looked in the pictures. The dock, the deck and the fire pit area have lots of comfortable seating to enjoy the views of the lake. Get up for the sunrise, it was beautiful. Just a short drive into Old Forge for restaurants and shopping and very close to the Bald Mountain Trailhead. Our first night we grabbed a bite at the tavern next store. The food and the service were both great! The host was very responsive and answered all our questions. I would definitely book this cabin again. Thanks for a great weekend!

This home is amazing. Literally sitting on the shore of Lake Sacandaga and surrounded by beautiful woods. The home is so comfortable and clean. It had anything we needed for our long weekend stay. We enjoyed the fireplace, board games, watching the northern lights from the deck and cooking. Very centrally located as we explored all around the area, from Wells, Northville and Speculator! We will be back!

House was awesome, plenty of parking, easy access to the lake and snowmobiles/ATV access to the trial system. Fantastic accommodations if you want to explore all that the Lake Pleasent area has to offer.looking forward to my next visit.

First trip to Sylvan beach. Ricks place was fantastic. I needed four rooms and kept finding places where had all these makeshift “rooms” that were actually the living room with a pull out couch. Rick’s place was great with 4 actual bedrooms. The place was right on the water and we enjoyed swimming in the lake and hanging out on the huge deck. Rick was more than accommodating when we needed to come in early and stay a little late. Rick gets 5 stars from me and when I’m back in town i will def come back.

Beautiful home with many great features! Great entertainment space, access to beach and plenty of things to do with your family. Comfortable for a family. Would definitely come back.

The setting was idyllic. The house was great. I wish it had come with more toilet paper. It was a minor annoyance to have to be concerned with something so trivial for the cost. Otherwise excellent.

We had a wonderful stay at Trent’s place. A very relaxing and fun getaway with friends. Took a beautiful hike around the area with the dogs. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfy. Took advantage of the games that were available and fireplaces inside and out. We had a great time at the “neighbors” too! We will definitely return for an annual winter visit.

We enjoyed this lakefront home very much. It was easy to access the lake and the accommodations were just lovely.
