Bicycles available! There are also beautiful ATB routes nearby that you can try out. You can do shopping in the village itself. If you are looking for a larger shopping center, Gorredijk (known for Rinsma modeplein) Sportstad/Thialf Heerenveen, Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Sneek are also easy to drive to.

The jacuzzi can be booked separately for €30 per 2 h. All in the peaceful countryside with a view of storks in the season. All you need for the perfect getaway can be found here or in the area. The nature reserve Weerribben-Wieden is only 3 km away and Giethoorn a 20-min. drive. We have rental bikes.

On request; For 1 night. For a third person, an extra 1 person bed in the living room is 25 euros per night. Centrally located accommodation. By bike and walking distance to downtown Wolvega rural setting. In this region you can make beautiful hiking/biking/MTB trips to the Weerribben and Giethoorn but also to the Drents Friese Woud, Heerenveen Oranjewoud. Or you can choose to move into beautiful Friesland. From Sonnega, all this is fine. We are open to give tips.

Wonderful location in the middle of Weerribben-Wieden National Park in the atmospheric water village of Kalenberg near Blokzijl and Giethoorn ( 20 minutes). Ideal starting point for cycling, canoeing and hiking tours through nature. Lots of privacy and a place to unwind. The journey time to attractions such as Amsterdam and the Keukenhof is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Idyllic cottage to yourself in Giethoorn

This cute white cottage with a thatched roof is like from a fairy tale book! As if you really live in authentic Giethoorn. (North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. Without hordes of tourists. (They are in Giethoorn Zuid = 45 minutes' walk) Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

Gieters Gruttertje is a Lovely vintage stay in the heart of Giethoorn on the village canal within walking distance of all facilities. Sleep in a nice king-size bed from where you also can watch movies on a large projection screen. The residence has large patio doors to the courtyard & has its own entrance and a free parking space in the yard.
