Geri and her husband, Todd, were very gracious hosts. Very accommodating in showing our family the different aspects and animals on their property. Lots of space and very quiet. We loved it!

The Roost is exactly as represented. It is situated on the lake and has outstanding views. The directions and check-in information were very clear, I was able to drive directly to the property and check-in without any problems. I wanted something fairly private and although the Roost is in a residential neighborhood, the artistic landscaping hid the neighboring houses. Diane and her husband are the perfect hosts, there if you want them, but not intrusive. The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. There is no access to the lakeshore, however there is also no beach to walk along at that point on the lake. The grounds have plenty of seating with a beautiful view of the lake and guests are allowed to roam the property and sit wherever they are comfortable. I stayed with my dog and felt quite welcome. I definitely plan on going back.

Such a unique stay with modern attention to detail! From the welcoming party of kitties and chickens to a spotless house that preserves its history, this stay had it all. The hosts were responsive and willing to go the extra mile. The house was stocked with everything one would need for a private getaway, from kitchen necessities to entertainment in the loft. Even the WiFi was incredibly impressive for a historic, centuries old schoolhouse. We especially loved playing board games at the kitchen table! Great for couples and small families; would absolutely stay here again!
