Our hand-made forest yurt sits in a secluded old growth forest on a private estate near medieval Bruges. The yurt is 5,5 meters (18 feet) in diameter. It sleeps 4 people comfortably, with a double bed and a double pull-out couch (but can just fit up to 6 people with two extra mattresses provided). There's a wood stove & kitchenette inside. Linen, towels and organic soap/shampoo are provided.
“You will he greeted by Jan who will walk you around the grounds and the yurt and give you all the information you will need for your stay. The forest is well managed and looks really isolated so you really get a feel off being away from everyone. There is an outside compost toilet and a tree house bathroom (which I loved) for all your hygiene needs, I would always brush my teeth with bottled water as I always do when travelling, there is a fire pit and plenty off wood to burn to keep you warm and feeling cosy in the evening, you can cook on the fire as their is a grill to use too, we had a lovely fire pit meal and it tasted so much better eating it sat around the camp fire. The yurt is amazing, it really is, I loved it a lot more than I thought I would, it’s so well adorned and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you want to leave the city behind you and get back to nature then Jans forest yurt is just the place to do this, the biggest problem with the yurt is ......... you have to leave it and face the real world after your stay.”

“My girlfriend and I went on vacation in Belgium together for the first time. It was also the first time that we booked through Airbnb. We were a bit skeptical at first because friends of ours had bad experiences in another accommodation. However, this skepticism quickly evaporated the first time they made contact. Cecilia is really nice, courteous and always cares about the well-being of her guests. She has an answer to every question and can give many helpful tips. We were given all the freedom. We came by car and two bicycles, which we were allowed to store in the lockable garden shed. House, room and bathroom were very clean. Since the mattresses are cozy and the surroundings are nice and quiet, we slept very well. For breakfast there was freshly brewed coffee or tea, orange juice and milk from the region. There was also fresh bread and delicious baguette, sausage, cheese, jam and chocolate spread. Since the kitchen and refrigerator are available, you could also prepare eggs. The cozy house also has a small, but very nice garden, where you can relax in a small seating area. We really felt very comfortable. The whole thing is then crowned by a cat that is as curious as it needs to be cuddled, who is really very nice and makes the whole vacation perfect. A home without a cat is just a house.”
Just 6 km from Bruges with a lovely and sunny garden. Oostkamp is a municipality in the countryside, in the green belt around Bruges. Perfect for cycling, walking, a relaxing day at the seaside or even a visit to the Netherlands.
“What a wonderful place to stay, beautiful old restored cottage, perfect location and setting in a lovely area, just a short drive from Brugge! Such a stunning beautiful property with so much attention to detail and interior design. Isabelle and Patrick were the perfect hosts with such great local knowledge and gave us many tips of places to go in Brugge and advice on nice restaurants etc. We were lucky enough during our stay to have amazing sunny weather to enjoy the fabulous pool!
