Guesthouse vacation rentals in Outer Banks

Chase’s place is a perfect get away for 2-4 people. It’s soooo close to the beach, just a 3 min walk over the dune. It was quiet and private and had great outdoor space including chairs on the upper deck and picnic table below to toss all the beach stuff when returning from the beach. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning and wi fi were strong! We were able to walk for coffee at Muffins and Scones and wine & beer at Cork and Bottle, both of which were fantastic! So refreshing to find an air bnb with all the furnishings in an area dominated by rental companies that require you to bring or rent your own linens. Thanks Chase!

I have so many good things to say about Craig’s guesthouse. First of all, the views are amazing! I didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back. Such a unique little bungalow! I needed a getaway for just me, myself, and I and I felt very comfortable staying by myself in the guesthouse. Don’t hesitate on this one! Nice quiet location but close enough to the outer banks for food or activities. Definitely recommend and Craig was an amazing host. He gave specific directions and was there when I needed to call on him once during my stay.

This place was beautiful. Perfect for a couple or four friends. The beach was an easy five min walk from the Airbnb. She also had an under full of activities to do around the area. The downside is that you will have to drive 30-45 mins to get to some of the places. Other than that, at the Airbnb you can meet the chickens, dogs, and miss kitty near the home if you’re an animal lover. They’re super friendly. The pool was also really nice. Perfect for a tan and the water was cold. I would definitely stay again!!! I loved the place.

I was a little apprehensive at first knowing that the host lived on the same property. However, she was very professional and never, at any point, did I feel like she was "invading our space"!! She gave us lots of suggestions for things to do, local restaurants, and was very clear with check in and check out procedures.

Really enjoyed our second stay at Sonny and Mikaila's place this summer! Really a perfect location, close to everything. Great time of year to have the beach to yourself! Enjoyed climbing Currituck Beach Lighthouse and visiting the Wright Brothers Museum and Memorial. Great dinner at Mama Kwan's (as always!) and a great sunset dinner at Miller's Waterfront. I stayed here for for a nearby wedding in Duck and the location could not have been more convenient to the venue and the fun downtown Duck area with shopping, restaurants, etc. The size of the apartment was perfect for a few people and very peaceful. We loved the screened in porch. I would strongly recommend this as a great option for an obx stay!

Perfect for our family beach trip. Super easy access to the public beach. The public parking fills up early but we were able to bike to the beach several days. The highlight of the trip for our two boys was frog catching in the yard and gardens at the house. The apartment is over a garage and was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Would definitely recommend for a small family looking for some outdoor space when not at the beach. Thanks for the great stay!

My family and I had such a wonderful weekend staycation at this lovely Airbnb! The home had a warm, homey feel that made it easy to relax right away. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful—peaceful and full of charm. One of the highlights of the stay was the fun experience of feeding the turtles, which added a unique and memorable touch. The beds were super comfortable, and we slept so well each night. The bathroom, kitchen and living room was spotless and clearly well taken care of. Overall, it was a beautiful stay and I’m so glad I chose this spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a bit of fun and nature!

Lynn was super nice! The house was great and super clean and made us feel very cozy. The location had places to eat and shop not too far away which was super convenient as well. Lynn made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed and provided an awesome, private space for us to enjoy the weekend. I definitely recommend booking here!

Great little spot for our lads fishing trip. House is really clean and modern (not corny beach decor) which was appreciated. Wes was friendly and welcoming. Our nephew loved fishing for Pinfish in the yard. Really enjoyed our brief stay. Thanks!

We loved our stay! Beautiful location, well stocked house, private pool, and close to the beach. Their house guide also had great local recommendations to check out, which made planning easy! Check in was smooth, and they communicated information about the stay in advance - great hosts. Would definitely recommend! We’ll absolutely be back!

Nice studio with great details, better than it looks in photos. Abby and Chad are friendly and helpful hosts. When I saw the setup I thought it might be noisy but no, it was very quiet. There is no shared wall and I didn't hear the family at all. Thank you for sharing this beautiful location!

Shannon's place was exactly what we wanted for a weekend beach getaway! The loft is in a quiet neighborhood minutes from the beach. The outdoor deck was a great add, we got to eat dinner outside one evening with our puppy and it was lovely. Boo loved the loft too and everything was so thought out for dogs in mind! We really appreciated the dog gate and the food and water bowls for her. The space was also super comfortable for us! We loved the coffee, the place had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on, temperature was great - in short, everything you'd want from a beach stay. Thanks so much for letting us stay!

Our stay was lovely! Angelique and James were amazing hosts and their fresh eggs were amazing as well! It was peaceful and spacious for us. We would definitely stay again if the dates lined up for all of us. If you’re looking to stargaze the back deck was perfect for it.

Anchor-In 2 is perfect. Its renovation was done with quality and taste. It is private and quiet yet close to the beach and walkable to coffee. You have views of the ocean. We used the very clean hot tub twice a day. We rested well. The hosts were proactive and very interested in making sure we had an excellent experience. We would definitely stay again.

When the app says that Mariano is a superhost, they are right on the money! This property is beautiful, well stocked, very spacious and just lovely! Our stay at the guesthouse was amazing. We had everything we could possibly need to make our stay comfortable. Everything was very clean and the view of the sound is so peaceful. The weather was perfect so we could lift the windows and listen to the water when we weren't enjoying the deck. I especially enjoyed watching the nesting Osprey and being able to see the lighthouse in the distance.

We loved Maggie and Brice there 2 girls we so sweet the family has positive vjve and super accomidating! Everything felt like home. Easy access to sound and beach. Fun and homely neighborhood outdoor indoor showers. We have a 1.5 and 7 year old and they accommodated the noise and sometimes not so pleasent baby ( breastfeeding.. weening) noise in the middle of the night clean comfy and perfect destination. I thank you guys so much 💓 it was perfect for a family and out 10 year old pup! Jen

My husband and I cannot say enough about our stay at the Beach Palette!! Their attention to detail and ways they added little things to make our stay comfortable and seamless was truly appreciated. The decor and amenities were very charming and carefully chosen. This property was truly a hidden gem close to a bunch of great restaurants, beach accesses and golf! They also helped us by providing restaurant recommendations which we found a new fav spot! We have already decided we would like to come back next year! Thank you again, Carolina and Brian for a wonderful getaway! :)

Decided to book a last minute trip to the beach and this place checked all the boxes. Patrick, was very accommodating for this last minute booking for our Easter weekend. His place was a nice spot close to the beach with great views. Definitely would book this place again for a beach trip.

Really amazing people Tony and his wife were so friendly and we felt like family the whole time there. Definitely God’s country the view the peaceful surroundings. They had so much stuff to accommodate your stay. From the Bikes to the Ping Pong Table to Corn Hole. My family and I were very comfortable during our stay. The apartment was beautiful comfy and cozy. The sleep number beds were amazing as well. We will definitely be back for the great southern hospitality that they offer. I recommend anyone visiting the area to definitely pick this place as your home away from home and some. Ty Tony and Patsy and your amazing grandkids for making our stay a memorable one. Tyler’s listing is clean and well appointed. I stayed for a month during a contract and looked forward to going “home” at the end of the day.
