Edited for summer 2020 due to covid-19: We are fortunate that our cabin was made for social distancing. It sits on almost an acre of land in the country, so it is easy to avoid contact with others (except those you bring with you;) ). Due to the unprecedented health crisis we now find ourselves in, we have taken the advice of health officials and Airbnb to help minimize the potential for covid-19 to be transmitted between our guests. This includes ensuring a 24-hour period between guests.
“Kristina’s place was absolutely wonderful! It is as described in the listing. We rented the available kayaks too and I’m so glad we did. They were a hit! I went to run the Dick Beardsley half marathon and the rain stayed away until after the race but then it came. No lighting though so we walked through the backyard to the private lake access. We swam, used the kayaks, and admired all the wildlife in and out of the water. Lots of water loving birds, fish we could watch right off the dock, bald eagles, and deer. We grilled in the rain too:) It was wonderful! The house is very cute, clean, and decorated nicely. My daughter asked if we could come again when it’s not raining haha so another trip to Kristina’s will be booked.”
We invite you to stay in our lovely 2 bedroom lake front serenity suite on the shores of Buchanan Lake. A private coded lock entrance welcomes you from a panoramic patio with comfortable lawn furniture to relax and unwind. 2 bedrooms each with queen sized beds and one large bathroom will ensure a quiet and restful stay.
“The basement suite is a fantastic get away in quiet lake country. Fireplace makes cold mornings and evenings cozy. Kitchenette and bathroom are well stocked and bedrooms are simple, neat and well situated; the beds are soft and super comfortable. Overall homey and lovely. Ms. Caroline is sweet and thoughtful, she meet any need I had, and communicated clearly about any issues and instructions that came up during my stay. Definitely recommend.”
Looking for some quiet and solitude our cabin is located in the country sitting on 20 acres of wooded land with walking trails, wildlife, and solitude. But we are still just a short drive to nearby communities for numerous activities to enjoy. Enjoy summer, we have kayaks and a canoe for rent enjoy an evening on a nearby lake watching the sunset and listening to the loons or enjoy some fishing from the kayak. In the winter enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, or ice fishing.
“This is an amazing place to unplug from the world and be in a very quiet and peaceful place. You can enjoy the sauna, campfire (they have wood, chairs and roasting sticks), yard games, puzzles, games inside, walks or just soak up the sun. The cabin is very clean, cute and cozy. Doug and Roxanne are quick to respond and super nice. I have been back here a few times and love it every time!”
