Truly a one of kind handmade, solar powered home of local materials filled with arts and crafts by local artists and treasures we have collected from around the world. Described by guests as “Asian Vintage” this sunny home sets perched above a year round creek and is surrounded by mature gardens and a forest of bay, oak and fir. About an hour from San Francisco and the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, 1.5 miles from Point Reyes Station and 2 miles from the Point Reyes National Seashore Visitors Center and Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Easily access beaches, waterways and parkland for hiking, swimming, surfing, kayaking, SUP boarding, mountain biking and all that West Marin has to offer. Or just enjoy unwinding in this comfortable and beautiful setting. Stroll down to the Inverness Park Market and Tap Room at the end of the street and enjoy some of the best food and drink in the area with a very local vibe. Entering the upstairs you will find a large living/dining/kitchen space constructed of huge beams, wide plank fir floors from wood milled on the property, a bank of windows with a bird's eye view of the forest and a large stained glass window. A fully equipped kitchen and stocked pantry allows you to cook up the bounty of Point Reyes farmers and purveyors on our vintage O’Keefe and Merritt stove. There is a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, mixer, coffee maker and blender. A Balinese dining table of coconut wood and tiger bamboo seats 6. The living area offers a comfortable pullout couch with a memory foam mattress. There is wifi and a smart TV with steaming Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon prime. Or enjoy any of the DVDs from our small library. A stereo tuner with an aux cable allows you to stream music from your 2.5mm jack equipped device. A deck off the living room has a table, chairs and a small gas BBQ. Also on the main floor is a sunroom with floor to ceiling glass and a glass roof, Balinese bamboo furniture, breakfast table and a side deck. The bathroom has a claw foot tub and shower. There is central heating with the thermostat located in the living area. Downstairs is a large, plush carpeted bedroom surrounded with rock walls, huge beams, a queen sleigh bed, lounge area, flat screen TV and a wood stove. Also a small, bright bedroom with a single bed and a small deck attached. An ante room between the bedrooms contains a wash sink and leads to a private rock walled, slate tile floored area with a dual head outdoor shower and hot tub. There is a laundry room for your use with a full sized washer, dryer, utility sink and linen storage. Outside you will find a stone patio with table, chairs and umbrella. There is a carport for 2 cars. Our son, David, lives on the property in a small separate cabin and serves as manager and caretaker. Cozy, quiet studio cottage nestled on 1/3 acre of trees and surrounded by seasonal creeks. Indoor gas fireplace and full kitchen & large spacious deck. In Sonoma Wine Country, 12 minutes to downtown gourmet restaurants, and organic coffee houses. Take gorgeous backroads to Bodega Bay and Sonoma Coast. Nestle into the warm glow of a gas fireplace or watch for deer and wildlife from the deck or living room. This is a perfect retreat space for one or two people; it is not appropriate for parties.

Our custom built guesthouse was completed in 2016. It is situated on 5 redwood-covered acres, 10 minutes south of Los Gatos and 20 minutes from Santa Cruz. We have easy access to hiking and biking trails, world-class wine-tasting, microbreweries, shops, amazing dining, and more! There is something for everyone in our area! We are surrounded by a 35 acre tree farm, so it's very private, yet close to the silicon valley! Our property has a standby generator so we are not affected by power outages.
