Farmstay vacation rentals in Placer County

My time with Susan was exactly what I needed. After leaving a stressful job that took a toll on my mental health, I needed to get away from the city. Being at the farm with my dog in tow was exactly what my soul needed. Thank you to Susan for the wonderful hospitality!

This was our 3rd stay at this property. It works very well for our family to get together, cook, eat, play bocce, and walk. Mardie's team was responsive, flexible, and helpful. The house offers many amenities, and the property is beautiful.

AMAZING!!!! We were looking for a snowy forest getaway for the weekend and Stefanie's place was IT!!! (FYI: snow is rare at this altitude) As her listing says, it is a rural location, so if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is it! The house was very clean and the kitchen was large and could easily accommodate cooking three meals a day. Food options are about a mile or two away (since Apple Hill farms are only open in the fall). There is a bonus room down stairs with TV and lots of games. Parking right in front of the house. Stefanie communicated very quickly! I booked this stay last minute (within 4 hours of arrival) and she was very responsive and helpful. She even drove up to the house prior to our arrival to heat it up and start a fire. Would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND!!!!!!

This was a peak experience staying at this beautiful historic home and expansive property. Kathleen couldn’t have been more helpful and warm before and during our magical stay. There is so much to do on the property that you won’t want to leave. The heated pool was awesome even in Feb and we played with all the games in the garage on the courts too. We picked fresh citrus from the orchard and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were 15 guests who stayed overnight and everyone had a bed, but there is much more room for additional guests beyond what we had. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the beds so comfortable. She and her team have really thought of everything! We will not hesitate to go back for another family gathering soon!

I wish I could have stayed longer. Susan is wonderful and her food beautiful! It was the perfect place to relax. I left more present and grounded. I hope to come back soon! Thank you!

Serene & absolutely beautiful everywhere you look. Very Comfortable bed, quiet & so relaxing. Loved how remote, private & out in the country it is. And also close to downtown & stunning hikes to the rushing American River & waterfalls. A must see & visit. Steve was so helpful & responds right away to help. He let me borrow his kitchen oven to bake bread- so nice & welcoming.

This place was amazing and so were the hosts. We held our wedding reception here and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. This place is a 10/10 highly recommend!!!!!!

While Holger's place is a bit of a hairy drive up some twisty roads, it was a great spot! He gave us and our daughters a great tour of the farm and helped us feed the animals. The stay was pleasant and the wood burning stove heated the place up quickly. It was rustic but had plenty of amenities to be able to stay comfortably. Great getaway spot!

Wonderful base to explore a beautiful area. Shannon is an attentive and friendly host; we loved the little touches that made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful setting and comfortable home. Shannon has truly thought of everything to create a home away from home for her guests.

Sweet Pea Cottage couldn't not be more idyllic!! We could not stop talking about how lovely the property, the home, and the hosts were. Amado was incredibly responsive, helpful, and friendly. He made us feel so welcome. The home was even better than pictured. There was plenty of room for us, beautifully decorated, and well appointed. Trying to come up with another excuse to come stay at Sweet Pea Cottage as soon as possible! Highly, highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the farm guesthouse. Flora and Afshin are gracious and kind hosts. They generously made time to show us the farm animals, which was a lot of fun. The guesthouse is warm and cozy with lots of attention to detail and comfort. We appreciate the effort that they put in to make it a lovely stay.

Jerre’s place is a real gem in the beautiful placer county. The cosy cabin has everything you need to have a great stay. The goats, cat and dog are definitely adding to the charm to this place. And thank you Jerre for great communication!

Very beautiful place! Quiet, so peaceful, deer and turkeys abound. If you are a light sleeper, the sun shines on you bright and early. We didn't mind this at all. There is nothing left out in the kitchen, appliances and staples are in abundance. The lane up to the driveway is one lane at times, doesn't seem to have a lot if traffic on it but must be careful. Would rent again. Thank you Megan for your hospitality. Friends 🧡

We loved our stay! Very peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful view of the lake. Everything was beyond our expectations, right down to the firewood on the ready for a cool night. We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was very cute and fun, especially with the fireplace to tend to (during winter months), beautiful surroundings, and it was fun to see the chickens and goats on the property. There are plenty of hiking trails in the area, and it is quick to get back into town. They were also kind in their provisions- we got some beautiful fresh laid eggs! We also very much enjoyed the outdoor bathtub. Highly recommend

Cute and comfortable tiny home with a large yard for our dogs to use. Great amenities in the home and wonderful touches like fresh eggs. The home was perfect to uber to and from Thunder Valley. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place to visit in the fall! Or family really enjoyed our time here, walking around outdoors, watching the deer that came by, and paddling on the lake with the blowup kayaks we brought. Thank you, Marie!

Comfortable living area as well as comfortable bedrooms, well appointed house, high end appliances, many staples (coffee, teas, etc.)provided. When return to area, would definitely rent this lovely home.

We had a great trip. This was the perfect cabin on the west side of the summit to enjoy a remote getaway and still get to skiing with a quick drive over the summit each day. The house was fully equipped with all the things you'd need for a comfortable stay. We would definitely consider staying again. Richard gave great directions on how to find the cabin, which can be a bit tricky in the dark with narrow roads and minimal light - I was grateful that he had given specifics in advance and appreciate the communication.

Great stay and great hosts. I will definitely book again if I ever make my way up to Auburn again.

Alex’s cozy cabin was perfect for our family get away. Although small it was perfect for the three of us and our pup. The backyard is serene and a great place to enjoy a quiet moment. The hot tub and steam shower are fantastic amenities that were a great addition. Location was perfect as we were a 5-10 min walk to the small beach and a short drive to incline village. We had a wonderful time!

We had such a great stay at the View House! Beautiful scenery, relaxing vibe, kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed.
